    Just a quick post as I'm cream-crackered.

Secret Santa arrived safely, thank you, and mine posted yesterday :D

Glad you're getting your windows today, after all the delays, Lynne. Wrap up warm and don't sit still for so long that you freeze :j :j :j
Windows done and looking much better. Painters are due Monday aft, so fingers xd they turn up. Don't see why I should do them when it's all paid for in the contract eh. Still a bit chilly in here but I'm not too bad as double-wrapped atm :D

All rooms except the spare room swept and put back to normal.
Bed - mattress hoovered, turned and made with clean linen.
Fish and chips gathered and scoffed (just for once)

Everywhere feels gritty - don't really know where to start so will form a plan in the morning and crash on.

Hugs, sticks and spoons all round

Morning all. The dogs didn’t remember that it’s Saturday so they got up at 6am.

Glad your windows are done Lynne.

Last night I wrapped the Christmas presents I’ve bought so far. Today the dogs are going to dog sitter while I go shopping with DD and future DIL and then we’re having afternoon tea as a combined treat for DILs birthday/Christmas/chance to catch up on how plans are going for both weddings.

About to do my nails. Glittery I think. Flying will be minimal.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Morning all

Out last night so didnt sleep well, seems to be the case now when I drink more than a teaspoon full of alcohol. I had two glasses of wine with my meal so definitely didnt overdo it! The good news is I am awake and up so will get on with some paid stuff and get it out of the way.

Two loads of washing over the airer, dug the heated airer out yesterday which I dont use very often. More washing to do, I might hang some out if the sun gets out as forecast.

Stuff must go to the cs today (yes I know I said that before), presents to wrap, windows need cleaning on the inside at least.

But paid stuff first, radio on, heating on, coffee made.
  • Good morning all :)

Natty, I have fulfilled my pledge as my Room of Doom is no longer a Room of Doom but a lovely spare room/office without a piece of gibble in side. Long may it remain that way! I'm not one for new year's resolutions but I might make an exception for 2018 and resolve to keep my entire home gibble free for I have won the Battle of the Room of Doom but the war still wages on. Private LOL reporting for duty!

I got most of my list done yesterday but I still need to put a couple of boxes that decorations came out of in the attic. Mum's bus arrives 3 hours later than I originally thought which gives me plenty of time to tackle the communal hallway but I will wait until noon just in case me neighbours are having a lie in. I hope mum does make it up with all this snow and cold weather, it was -5 deg C in Aberdeen last night, brrrrrrr. :snow_grin

Morning from a snow-covered Dizzyland. Just perfect :snow_grin

Schools here closed at lunchtime yesterday due to the weather and football training and DH's coaching course cancelled for today so we are all flying in the house!

We have internal doors, a completed hearth and new porch floor. It is so close girls....sooooo close :T

I survived my counselling session and an now being referred for reprogramming in the New Year. DH was a darling and very supportive and I was surprised to see a few tears brimming at one point.

    Life is good x

Beautiful morning here: pink sunrise, blue sky and white everywhere else.

It's the church fete so I have to get into town somehow. DH parked his car down on the main road when he came in last night. Mine didn't go out yesterday, so I shall have a slippery slope to negotiate, or else I will have to go on the bus with my 36 jam jars in a wheelie crate!

Dress and dog walk first, though...

Hope the journey was okay, Ionafan.
    Wow, Piggers!

Room of Doom is sorted and tidied ready for someone to spend one night in there tomorrow night. That used to take days, now it takes an hour so something's working. Bacon sarnis made and scoffed, bins emptied, kitchen sorted, Kelpie walked twice, Devil Cat dosed up for the morning and OH booted out to watch his team on a pub TV somewhere. I've done a couple of bits of paperwork with one more to go and then I can get back to sewing.
    Better is good enough.
