Hi everyone well we managed to scrape by to Saturday and I was indeed paid early plus also paid missing expenses. Family member surprised everyone in the evening by announcing that he was paying for everyone's meal!

I'm off again this week but still have my sessions in the evenings, for my business the Monday sessions will end at the current venue at Easter as just not enough interest to keep it going there so I'm going to contact the main facility in town to see if I can use that and start again in June as they don't open on bank holidays so no point in doing in May and then stopping for 2 weeks. I need to spend some time getting the paperwork in order.

Today has been a bit spendy as I've brought my Mum's presents (did buy some sale items though), paid my Dad £100 so only £100 left to pay him, I've paid a small amount off the credit card and the balance is slightly higher due to using it last week.

DD final payment for her trip hasn't been paid yet as I couldn't submit without filling out her passport details which we hadn't got, we've applied online and hope that comes back soon. £49 paid for that.

Tomorrow the next payment for the car will go out and I will update the percentage paid. Surveys are not too bad and expecting a few small payouts. YNAB up to date, no news on bonus and the sun is shining!

Morning all, a quick post before I go out for the morning with my s-i-l - first time we've ever been out on our own but I sensed she needed to get away from the family dramas for a bit. We're off to an art gallery then for coffee.

Car payment has gone out today and child benefit in, also dh mobile phone payment - I need to check with him that he can cancel this now as it's for a phone that he lost in the sea and we've been paying it off. Even with the saving the increase in water and council tax will balance it out!

Yesterday I contacted the sports facility r.e. my Monday session and there is space at the same time I do my session and will only cost £1.50 more, I will finish at my current venue on 8th April then start at the new one on 3rd June due to holidays and bank holidays. This will give me time to get my website transferred to a new host and promote in the local schools.

When I get home later I need to update my SOA with all the changes, I'm struggling to see what's the best way to pay off the overdraft - maybe save up during the month in a savings account and then on my payday I can transfer over and then get the amount reduced? I can pay in bits and pieces over the month from survey sites and expenses I get in. When dd trip is paid for and last bit of Dad's money then it should be easier to save a bit.

Right better get ready, see you later H x

Ooh even with using credit card the amount paid off debt is 6.01% today.

Morning all, sun is shining again I was going to pop out to a school competition this afternoon but as I've been doing bits of work whilst I'm on leave I've decided not to go and have some 'me' time.

Yesterday was Mum's birthday and anniversary, we went over for a bite to eat at nice pub across the road and I realised why I live so far away from my other family members as I'd had enough yesterday. They went back home yesterday evening!

I've updated the monthly budget, frustrating to see so many things going out even without food, fuel etc. I haven't yet taken out savings for the annual insurances, trying to stay under the overdraft threshold for a few days so I don't get charged more.

I have started to put away funds for the overdraft by moving over some survey money that I requested - only £11.14 so far but I have the month to save.

Business finances to be updated today, I WILL do it!

    Otherwise pottering around, lovely :-)

  • Morning,

Families can be hard work, also one of the reasons why I moved so far away too.

    Enjoy the school competition.

Good idea with the OD pot, I have one too :)

    Have a great day xx

A productive morning so far, I've submitted my mileage allowance claim to HMRC for business travel it took ages though as with our new app it doesn't give you anything useful like a report so I had to go through every submission for the year to calculate the mileage and the amount paid! I will set up a simple spreadsheet for the next year to keep track of it and it won't take long next time. The claim worked out at over $900 (pounds my keyboard is playing up :rotfl: )

That would be a good lump sum to add on the overdraft, keeping all crossable things crossed!

Surveys have been rubbish the last couple of days so no more payouts, I was good yesterday and have updated all my business file so need to arrange to see my account friend to look at it all and let me know what to do in terms of registering and paying myself.

I need to get moving now and clean up the house as have another busy weekend then back to work on Monday.

Will be back if anything exciting comes in the post, I'm so boring!

Well the post has been and it contained my P60, another voucher for 10 pounds and also THE letter!

DH will be getting a pay rise of 2.5% from 1st April - yay and his bonus this year is 446 pounds before tax so better than nothing I suppose. We will be using the majority to pay his friend back for the flights to Scotland and take 100 off the overdraft.

  • Yay to the pay rise, every little bit helps :)

Hmm slightly annoyed with dh this weekend, he had a particularly bad strop on Friday night over a few things (not me) not helped by being sad over a friend that popped into work who has terminal cancer and is not looking great. That couple with stressful times from my side of the family and a few other things he took himself off to a mates house on the train and spent £100 in one night!

He was better yesterday after a sleep and we went out in the evening with my parents (they paid) and my other nice brother. He's cooking me a nice lunch as we speak.

Still it's a lot of money to blow in one night and will have to try and adjust the budget so I can still keep on track.

Snapped another receipt which will take me to payout threshold and another £5 to add to the overdraft savings when it clears. Need to do a menu today so I can do a full shop tomorrow and have a £5 off £30 spend voucher to use in store. YNAB is not right and I can't figure out why it's not showing the same as my bank.

Off to see my Mum after lunch and then chill out for the evening.

Well a slow start to the week but positive so far, I have transferred £5 from receipt site to the overdraft savings and rounded up so now £20 in there plus I have done a food shop for the week based on a menu but I didn't spend £30 so couldn't use my voucher. It has quite a few days to use it so hopefully next time.

DS got me some fuchsias for Mother's Day and made a cake, DD had a lie in!

I have my session this evening and tomorrow with the younger kids so should be a bit more in the business account. I will try and arrange to see friend this week - must get this done!

Tshirts have not sold on fb so will put on ebay instead.

The credit card is doing my head in, that £3 is very annoying so will pay that off now to bring me into the £1900's! Now £1990 pounds to go.

    Happy Monday all, H x
