Which is why they come in so handy around Christmas - all that lush food, usually very little exercise & therefore dates with all that lovely fibre? Win-win-win!

I recommend beetroot. Far cheaper than Ex Lax chocolate! :rotfl:
  • For some of us buying pre-prepped veg is the only option. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis over 30 years ago and my hands don't work especially well when it comes to peeling, chopping etc.

    Poor choice of phrasing OP.

Also in our house if you were bad tempered and grumpy it was "dose of syrup of figs for you madam" as my late mum believed it was a cure for grumpiness :):):)

A double dose is a surefire cure for a cough. :D
  • Nice you think I'm lazy though."Isn't prepared fruit and veg expensive" might be a kinder thread title.

Except you don't "prepare" dates. You simply chew around the stone, and spit it out.
  • Poor choice of phrasing OP.

    I wasn't referring to pre-prepped veg.

I was referring to dates, which you de-stone in your mouth. There's no preparation involved.

The price of ‘lazyness’ Is more than just £ for some people tho - sometimes pre prepared stuff is essential for some people and helps them manage a lot easier. I would rather pay the but extra and be able to cope cooking or prepping a meal for my family. Dates on the other hand are awful anyway!

Yes I'm sure it would be appreciated if I de-stoned dates in my mouth for use in cooking!

Nice attempt at a dodge though OP.
