Jenson is gorgeous!! awww..... *broody vibes* lol!!
PI - you are doing brilliantly!
Needs must and all that! Yesterday was extremely expensive. Had saniflo repair (£160+) Bills for son's music (£44 and £52) then later on last night the burglar alarm was pronounced terminally ill (£56 for replacement dh ordered!) . I hope I don't get too many more days like that this week (or month!)"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

On a real roll now. Planning my afternoon's shopping which I hope will last me to Christmas. Fleecing my purse for vouchers and found my Boots Points card! I know I have some cash on there, but not sure how much, so that will do for a pressie for someone, or alternatively the medicines etc that dh is going to need for his forthcoming work abroad! Gonna see if I can check my balance online!
editing £34.62 !!!!! Never thought about using this for presents before! Just waiting to see what my sis would like for Christmas and Birthday then will be over there like a shot. I suppose it's sheer idleness that has prevented me from doing all this before, but it's such a godsend that I have these little caches of cash all over the place.
ALso just remembered that I have a massive bag of change that needs making into £££££ that are spendable."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hmm not sure about that for pressies, but do need a couple of raffle prizes, so that would be great for that. Thanks for the ideas."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

I've decided to give up being an avon rep after Christmas as I've lost most of my customers recently through leaving work and some people moving. Anyway, have been sorting through my boxes to see what I can return to Avon and, ahem, I think I can probably keep going for a good 6-12 months on toiletries I've got
Now just got to find somewhere to put them in the interim.....
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -
Evening!!
I've been dragging OH round the shops today and *think* I'm almost done on the buying front, just the making bits to get cracking on now..
Purple I got up in the loft when I got home thanks to your post here and had a rummage. In my former life when I used to have time to sew,I did craft fairs and Ebay and found a huge stash of made up bits :j :j
At DS3's little Unit there are approx 20 kids and I wanted to do something nice but not too expensive for them.I found a load of little fabric gift bags which I plan to fill with a few sweeties (choccie coins etc) then tie them up with some swirly ribbonI also found a load of mini pillows (disney stuff mainly) so they'll get one of these each too
They are all a bit stressed ATM as the run up to Xmas upsets their rigid routines and poor DS3 went to pieces last night on me hence my disappearance..that said however he managed to explain how he felt and we had lots of cuddles and today he seems a bit brighter:T all credit to the wonderful staff there, they are all :A
JCR I can't believe how much he's grown!! What a gorgeous little honey..*broody clucks*0 -

I think this sounds like a money saving opportunity ultimately. I did direct sales with a few things (Cabouchon, Red House Books) and there's always the temptation to make up the order for what ever reason to achieve free postage/% off or whatever. Even though the items come to you reasonably priced, do you actually 'need' the stuff?
D&DD, how old are your 3 DS? Did another rummage in the attic this morning, found the roll of wrapping paper. It's HUGE! I also found a really nice note block which will be good for the raffle at Band, It's got musicall instruments all the way round it. That will mean a bottle more wine for us!
Friend just dropped some Spanish CDs round for us. She's going to town later and I've been putting off going, so will go with her if Parcel Force have delivered dh's parcel. I need to make up a list so I can dash round and get everything done. I can do all sorts without going into town, but the only place for the Waterstones vouchers is town.
DH is going to be working in Mexico for best part of 2 years. I went to Borders to find a Spanish course for him, but was totally overwhelmed and didn't know what to choose. So thought about it (over a coffee in Starbucks!) and thought I would a) go to the library b) ask friends and c) request on Freecycle. All three brought in material, so was a very moneysaving way of going about it. I might easily have been parted with best part of £50 for a course with books and CDs.
Thanks for helping me with the ideas yesterday guys. I know I initiated it, but you have come back with some great ideas."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

I do Avon... have done for over a year... I have noticed over the last 3 months that people are not buying as much and some people still want the brochure but say "there was nothing in there that I like" (which dh wondered if that was another way of saying " I haven't the money to spare").. However.. I rarely buy anything from avon myself! I have a box full of goodies which were freebies and yes, I have bought the odd item - couple of christmas presents and a new watch but tbh, I don't need anything and it does eat into my "earnings" if I spend.. I've always made the minimum order level so that has never been a concern.. am going to give it a few more months but if sales drop further then I'd rather utilise my time doing something else.0 -
Oooh! I loved this thread!
Thanks Purple, cos of you I've now remembered the WHSmith gift cards that I gave the kids money for, will have to print off some vouchers and sally forth! I have boots points but I want to save those for the sales, ready for birthdays through the year and next Christmas! Will have to rootle around and see what else I can come up with.
And apple braid and iced buns are regulars in our house now, and dd1's speciality!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Well, friend took me to town, wouldn't accept parking fee. I found my caffe Nero loyalty card in my bag, needed one space filling, so she accepted coffee, so was only £1.72 for the 2 of us. She has gratefull accepted a manicure as a late birthday present and has said she will let me practise waxing on her.. have done the course, but in need of practice!
got rid of Waterstones vouchers with a game for my sis and a stocking filler book for ds, so happy with that.
While I was out the fridge fairy came.... MIL... with the trimmings for the roast goose I'm doing for the wrinklies tomorrow night. Good day so far."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
