I've been watching Delia and she keeps saying 'curd' but I have read that curd is just cream cheese and Ive got quite a bit of Philadelphia and cheese triangles in my fridge so can I use those instead ??
She also did a no cook cheesecake but cant find the recipe anywhere if anyone can help please.

And I've just bought a bread maker to try out some of the recipes on here for pizza and bread since a loaf is over a £1 in the shops.

    Thankyou
    xxpoo

lemon curd is lemon, eggs and sugar cooked together till set, curd cheese is soft bland cheese thicker and not as 'wet' or tangi as the philidelphia sor - morrisons sometimes sell it - but it's not as available as soft cheese - i've substituted phili before and it was ok.

Sometimes sold as yorkshire curd it will be with the creams or cottage cheese section

you can strain cottage cheese in a sieve for an couple of hours and use instead or i have a recipe for cheesecake topping using philly if you want but its not frugal or healthy

    Can post if you like

OOH! Off to make some right now! They are going to be used to bribe a friend into keeping his word and building some decking for me - he will be putty in my hands after those!

Ooh Shaz - No Fair! I'm at work and could really do with some of those.

That'll teach me to sneakily come on here when the boss's back is turned!!

Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

my cup of tea looks very lonely without one of your hobnobs shaz! lol!

am impressed with tesco's today - just had my delivery and I had a £10 off voucher to use, my shopping came to £81.56, minus £10 off = £71.56 and halfprice/multibuys/bogof my bill including delivery cost £49.35, and the delivery man gave me a load of Splenda sugar sachets as a treat - hooray!

Shaz - I tried your moist lemon cake this morning, put it in the oven and did the 10 min school run, dd must have turned oven up because it was burnt!! have cut the burnt bits off and it looks a bit sad but taste divine - thanks for wonderful easy-peasy recipe - will def make again but this time when i am alone

Made 24 sausage rolls this morning and we're having chicken curry, rice and naan for dinner tonight - mil is staying over and it's her fav am deliberating whether to make muffins...

I also did that aubergine parmingterra (sure that's not correct name) it was scrummy and a hit with all

question for you - what do you do with stale bread??? i either run out of bread in two mins or find i have loads left at the end of the week
