Busy, but not got half done yet.... Cooked double lot of beans in pressure cooker and bagged up for freezer. Made dying celeriac (bought in a moment of enthusiasm a fortnight ago) into celeriac mash with garlic and potatoes. Have started cashew loaf and got chicken debris in a pan cooking.

I planned to get chicken breasts (don't usually get these I have to say) on Sunday to make fried chicken pieces for my HM tortillas. Ended up getting a whole chicken as it seemed a more economical way of doing it. Gave the chicken a double mastectomy (Sorry!) and we had the tortillas. Left a rather bedraggled looking bird. Decided to take the limbs off and have those tonight, dd will have cashew loaf. Carcase had loads on, so I think it might end up being risotto. I usually make mushroom, but could make chicken and mushroom!

evening all, sorry i nbot posted my pic's up yet of sundays bakes, but my pc keyboard ran out of batteries and i can't upload photos from camera onto the laptop.

SL ~ i know pregnancy going really quick. i've only bought a pink hat and a blue hat so far, lol. my mum bought me a baby bath today. brandnew in chairty shop for £1.25. last of the big spenders but hey i'd prefer a bargin like that anyday. And i've just ordered my pram. i just don't feel preg and it feel weird buying stuff.

DDD was gonna say i went into morrisons today and their strawberries were £1.34 a punnet. can't remember weight, but i thought it was a very good price consdering they been about £2.99 lately.

Everyone seems to have been cookign and inventing some gorgeous things. since being ill i've not got back into my routine so i'm struggling a little . however tonight i feel like i've made some positive head way. so hope it can continue.

i'm eating loads of pasta and ricey dishes at mo as i'm struggling to eat potatos.hoping that won't last.

the brownie recipes all sound so delish. think i might have to try some of those very soon.

i've got my slow cooker on i'm making spicy morrocan chicken and cous cous for dinner tonight.

although i'm getting so paranoid over chicken lately . i'm always convinced it has gone off , even if it is fresh and well within it's date. i've never been like this before , but i just seem to panic about it. i'm fine with all other meats it just chicken. i don't know why eaither as i've never had a problem with chicken, never expericanced gone off chicken. must just be my pregnancy hormones making me go a little more crazy, lol.

anyway as promised , my pics from the weekend.

    mini bakewells.

need to make more stuff tho, as i gave half bakewells and victoria sponge to my mum in return for an apple and blackberry crumble , and inlaws came over at weekend and we all had hobnobs to go with our cuppa's.

i really enjoy baking tho. it is so relaxing and such a great stress reliever if needed.

    jcr16 nice cakes!

Reasonably quiet day here as hubby is on lates so it will be Lentil Soup and Bread Rolls for the kids for tea.I've got some red cabbage soaking in salt so that needs rinsing and bottling in vinegar.I've also got some mushrooms I want to dry out in the dehydrator and if there is any space I might do a few onions too.On the rare occasion hubby cooks he prefers to use dried veg rather than fresh. So it is a good idea to make some rather than buy them as they can be quite expensive.Still got half a box of tomatoes to do something with I think it will have to be half pureed and half made into tomato soup for the freezer.
