Morning all...........((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) if you need one and especially to PP, hope things are going ok.......

Well a bit of a frustrating morning, we went out to go to the lottie and found the road closed, the local marathon.....so turned round and came home...could not be bothered to fight our way round the diversion....we will go in the morning.

Its cool this morning, but quite bright, lady across the road has the washing out, not sure if it will dry, but it will smell nice.

When we came home on Friday there was a stale smell in our hall, I am not sure if its coming from the drains, the kitchen smelt as well, yesterday I got some stuff to put down the drain, if it does not clear we will have to report it.......I hate not having a nice smelling house................but I also hate using those chemical air freshners, we left windows on the safety catches when we went away, so there was air flow through the place.....problem with the bathroom is that its internal, has no window, just a fan which switches off when the light goes off.............I don't think it runs long enough to clear smells IYKWIM.............

Loin of pork for supper, will have to get some green beans out of the freezer, we put the bag of beans on the table at the coffee morning last week and they all went.............I left a cabbage with my friend, we have several almost ready at the lottie.

Nothing planned for today, might do some sewing this aft, want to do the inserts for the christmas cards................

Thanks guys, I shouldt really moan. Especially what Pen-pin is going through it certainly puts my situation into prospective.
I know we all have our rights/moments to feel low/down/ill etc. And thats why I appreciate coming on the daily, for support, hugs or a kick up the back side.

I can hear the hoover down stairs. Think OH has taken the hint, that Im doing nothing this wk end! lol

Lovely day here. Sun is shining and is seems quite pleasant out.

My mission today is to clean bathroom thoroughly - done! I find it easier to clean shower screen immediately after my shower - not a pretty site if anyone walks in and sees me naked with the Sdrops and microfibre cloth in hand, standing in the bath!

Off to Costco after lunch - that is if Nelski has left any kitchen roll for us to buy!!!!!!! I get a strange satisfaction when I stack all the stuff in the loft knowing that I won't have to buy bulky things for ages. Still using the soap powder I bought in May.

Hope you all enjoy what is left of your Sunday and best wishes to PenP if Mr PenP keeping an eye on the thread.

    Love and hugs

    Delia's V's a real woman.

    Delia's Way
Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent ice cream drips.
    The Real Woman's Way
Just suck the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone, for God's sake.
You are probably lying on the couch with your feet up eating it anyway.

    Delia's Way
To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes.

Buy Smash and keep it in the cupboard for up to a year.

When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking tin, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead
and there won't be any white mess on the outside of the cake.

Tescos' sell cakes. They even do decorated versions.

If you accidentally over-salt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a potato slice.

If you over salt a dish while you are cooking, that's tough sh*t.
Please recite with me the Real Woman's motto: "I made it and you will
eat it and I don't care how bad it tastes."

    Delia's Way
Wrap celery in aluminium foil when putting in the refrigerator and
    it will keep for weeks.

It could keep forever. Who eats it?

    The throbbing will go away.
    The Real Woman's Way
Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half and drop it in 8 ounces of vodka. Drink the vodka. You might still have the headache, but you wont give a sh*t?

If you have a problem opening jars, try using latex dishwashing gloves.
They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy.

    Delia's Way
Freeze leftover wine into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces.

    Good Afternoon All.
Am having a really lazy day today to make up for feeling so ill yesterday. Have changed bedding, put lovely piece of lamb to roast and prepared potatoes and veg (DH will see to rest!). Have also spent time sorting storage boxes upstairs, a basket of paperwork downstairs and putting away T-shirts & summer skirts for the winter. Now I'm sitting down again and don't really intend to do much else! Gather no-one's yet had an update on PenPin - hope all goes well.
Enjoy the rest of Sunday folks!
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!

Phoned DD2 & DGS was bouncing off the walls & full of energy. He didn't want to go with DD2 & Dsil to buy the wedding rings so he came here & worked of some of his excess energy in my back garden, I'm now knackered & won't get anywhere near as much as I hope done. Still housework will wait, I'd rather play with DGS.
I'm feeling pretty gutted though, just found out that EXDH who has just spent £4000. on a Caribean holiday is claiming benefit, how the hell does that work? he has a 9 bed house & doesn't bother to work. All I can say is that I'm bitterly ashamed to think I was ever married to some one who can cheat the system like that, thank god my kids take after me & believe in hard work.
I'm off to change the bedding & finish sorting my bedroom.
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester

Hester...it makes me mad too, we worked all our lives, OH for over 50 years, and we have to beg for a few pounds in HB and CT benefit. We are struggling to pay back the overdraft we were forced into when we moved earlier this year, it will take us another 18 months to clear it even with the extra from the Attendance Allowence we have recently been awarded.....I wanted to build up a pot incase of emergencies and also the cash for a trip next year, time is coming when OH will no longer be able to drive and I am not up to driving long distances any more, we share the driving and never travel more than 250 miles in a day. My friend in France has been wanting us to go for 4 years and if we do not go next year I know we will not go........it means scrapping to get the money together but I will do it one way or another.....we see people around us, who we know are working the system, but believe me if we tried it we would get caught.................ggggggrrrrrrrr

    Rant over.

Not much done today, I have been watching some programmes on my computer.............very interesting, did not get any sewing done though, maybe tomorrow??????????????????
