You know these forums used to be a place to seek help and advice, now it's just full of folk belittling everyone as if it was a novice on a specialist subject forum.

Never been the case on the motoring forum. Always been a bit of bear pit, nature of the subject and those involved.

  • Where? You mean the thread with the liar HGV driver who thinks he's king of the road. That's exactly what I'm on about also.

why do you need to fill up untill it is at the max level?

So that you've got a point of reference when figuring out how quickly it's losing it. You want it on a line, and you can't use the minimum line because as soon as you loose any you're too low.

I replied saying that HGV points will need to be declared to personal car insurance also. Then Mr Perfect HGV driver kicked off at me. How is that my fault.

No, I did not the person you replied to. The accident statistics don't support your claim. Truck drivers are only a sixth as likely to be involved in an accident than a car driver is, something which is a miracle given the number of people like yourself who will do all kinds of dangerous maneuvers just so you're not stuck behind a lorry (usually actually its us who end up stuck behind dawdlers in cars especially through roadworks but I digress....)

Shouldn't have made the last point, speeding and tailgating by wagon drivers is pointless and dangerous and is all too common, especially through roadworks.

Then investigate why it had got so low.

Probably 'cos she only checks things when warning lights come on.

Brilliant response.... and absolutely spot on too.
