If you have the treat I'd be inclined to do a hide and seek advent where they have to find it. Just get the DC's out of bed 10 minutes earlier than usual5

Could you maybe read back in your diary to see what you did with the kiddies last year? From what I can remember you did some lovely things on the run up to Christmas last year.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I used to use a post it note to stick in an agreed room and sometimes it said "go and look in x place" where there would be a little treat, and sometimes it would have a chore. After the first year we had a hang up thing with little booties on so socks are a good idea - three socks with a note or treat in - one for each child might do it, and easy to do as you goSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I got away with leaving a note this morning with some craft supplies to make paper chains. I think tomorrow's will be to bake something Christmas related.

Do your children like putting on plays? I used to do that my daughters letting them act out a nursery rhyme or story and making props and costumes from whatever we had. My granddaughters are still a bit little for it but hopefully will be doing that in a few years time. Normal stuff like crafts, baking, Christmas films and popcorn or board games/Christmas story books usually go down well.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Oh thats a really good idea. Even more so as there isn't one on at school this year.
I will have baking on there a few times as we bake anyway for snacks but make it festive with Christmas cutters and things. I really need to get some things to top up the crafty box and that will feature quite a few times I think with cards and things to be made.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”6 -
Hi WB
I think a daily activity is a really good thing to do, especially as the DC's are all off school. We used to do plays when we were little and the DC's used to love putting on a show for us. As everybody has got older some years when we're in the mood, this morphs into silly talent contests.
I'm not sure we'll every really grow up lol. Have a lovely day. xx

Would your older DD and DS enjoy using coordinate clues to plot out a Christmas picture? I have a couple of designs and coordinates so let me know if you could use them. Are you able to go out at all for walks or is it just the garden? Collecting twigs to make twiggy stars might be a fun activity if you are able to go out.
