Hi WB
I'm so pleased you and the smalls had a lovely Christmas. Real Life can be a drag even without any bumps in the road ahead, so I hope you get to stay in your bubble for a bit longer. xx

Glad you had a lovely Christmas. I hope 2020 is a good year for you and the children with both health and money.
I think you should send us all your MP's address so we can all bombard him with letters, could you imagine them getting 50 upset letters. I'd say write to the papers/magazines as they'll pay for your story but definitely dont think its something I could do xLBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Thank you
We are still in our bubble. However that bubble didn't stop the smalls sharing their germs with me. They are much better and I think it's just a cold nothing serious.
Money in and out dat happened I'm late posting as quite a few of the direct debits have only just gone out with the holidays/weekend. All done for the month now. Have ordered youngests syringes/nappies and things like that. Have ordered some bits we needed. Need to consider the best options for travelling to and from the children's hospital and covering the wrap around childcare at school.
Have some phone calls and things to chase as usual but other than that we aren't jumping back into the real word until next week.
Hope you're all having a lovely time x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Hi WB
Glad to read things are still gently ticking over for you all. This holiday seems much more relaxed for us than usual and time is going nice and slow. Still another week before school begins as well which is nice. xx

I've just realised how bad my spelling is in that last post
Thank you Tea x
I think no matter how much I try different options the train is the easiest and really the only way that doesn't involve adding an extra 4 hours to our days is the way to the children's. We or should I say youngest has some really intense stuff happening for those 4 weeks and it's already been hard convincing who needed to be that we can come home and back again for the majority of the days providing she's okay. There's a lot riding on these 4 weeks and I've already got my hopes up for.a good outcome after speaking to others. So while rough at the time I'm very hopeful it will be worth it and the decisions I've made are the right ones.
So yeah it will be train fares for me and youngest most days and the older two at weekends/the overnights. Will definitely need the before and after school club for those 4 weeks.
I've chased who needed chasing. Made the phone calls I could make (although it seems lots of places are still on skeleton staff and it was pretty pointless) but I tried at least

Good luck for those 4 weeks x0

I think the train is your best bet as well knowing the logistics of where you have to get from and to. Is there any part of the treatment that could be transferred from the children's to your local one to make it a bit easier for you?
Sounds like it's going to be a rough 4 weeks but hopefully in the long term it will be worth it. I'd take any offers of help you can get from friends or neighbours if it makes any part of it easier for you all. I'm sure people would be happy to help out.
Would a room in the Ronald McDonald house help in any way? xx
ETA: Or at least one of the day passes if the older 2 have to sleep over at some point. xx0 -
Are there not volunteer drivers in your area?

Good luck is definitely needed. I really hope I've made the right decisions. It will make such a difference if it works out well.
The train is nearly £9 a day for me and youngest a return. Have spoke to national rail and the best option is a months season pass. £101 for me and £50.50 for youngest. We already have passport sized photos so I think this is probably what I will need to do.
Older two I've sent out requests to their friends etc for them to go on the weekends and I will return the favour at a later date (possibly half term when we should be home) before and after school club cover the full days so no need to rely on anyone else Monday to Friday at least.
Eta we discussed a room Tea but I'd still need to bring the other two back and forth to school. So I don't think it's worth me taking it unless it becomes a problem and we need to be there overnight more than planned currently.
Beanie I have no idea. I've never come across anyone that can help and I don't want to be worrying about being let down/late etc x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0
