It’s not down to luck. It’s down to hard work on your part. You need to give yourself credit for that.

    Thank you x

    Morning

Smalls are waiting to go to school so thought I'd take the chance to pop on.

No plans today. No appointments either. Going to try and get on top of some of the cleaning.
Really need to search out raincoats for the smalls and get them this weekend. But nothing else I really need to do.

Hope you all have a lovely day

It's actually dry for now here!

Would echo that it's not luck - it's hard work. And also a home day /nsd is not a cheat if you are amusing 3 kids at home - that takes more energy and creativity than a day out sometimes!

    Morning :)

I didn't get on yesterday as it was busy. I had a meeting at the jobcentre and then an appointment.

I've been switched over to Universal credit. So all change again :( I couldn't stay on legacy benefits as I didn't qualify now youngest is 5 and I'm not her 'carer' until the DLA is sorted. So all my income except for child benefit has ended until my first payment of universal credit on the 25th July.

I think after waiting this initial 5 weeks until the first payment though financially I think the incoming will be near enough identical to what I receive now. So at least it isn't less. I will however be back to paying 5 weeks behind on my rent rather than in front. Everything else I've managed to move the payment day next month to the 25th so for instance council tax will be slightly higher for that first payment but going forward it will be after the UC is paid. Hope this makes sense. All confusing

Hope you're all well and have a lovely day

Also my MH is much better.

I've been going to bed with youngest around 9pm. She's been sleeping in my bed :o but it means we both get some more sleep. It definitely helps.

I'm feeling so much more level and the total opposite to where I was last week.

Thank you again for all the support and help. I really do appreciate it.

The joys of universal credit. Not.
Try not to take an advance as the repayments are brutal.

I know beanie I was worried as the letter said it was a review of my claim. Apparently it should have happened last year the change over as soon as the DLA and carers stopped.

They offered the advance so I could pay the rent but the repayments would mean I wouldn't manage monthly going forward so I didn't take it. It's only the rent that's a worry.

They have said I can have a food bank voucher. The gas/elec direct debit was changed and the council's tax was really understanding and has changed it to a monthly direct debit to come out after the first payment from UC on the 25th July.
