Hi Wannabe
Sorry to just hijack your diary but long time reader here and I have wanted to stop by for months now so just wanted to say I am completely in awe of you, your resilience, determination and selflessness you are just amazing.
I hope you don't mind but wanted to send you a virtual hug. You continue to kick a** no matter what life throws at you, you truly are an inspiration, your smalls certainly have the best role model xx
You are doing brilliantly and I hope the cheque arrives asap.
Take care

I've sat playing around with budgets. If we manage without the grocery budget for 2 more weeks and the cheque arrives the budget for the 14th will balance. Meaning from the 14th June onwards there isn't a shortfall on the bill account. I'm just bathing the smalls and getting the older two in bed then I'll be back with more ideas ... Selling a child? :rotfl: only joking“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
I'll buy your DS, I find them a lot easier than girls and I speak from experience :rotfl:
Do you mean spend £30 on groceries but try to save the £20 remaining. Or do you mean try not to buy any groceries or anything else and have £50 x 2 weeks left?
How long have you been waiting for the cheque now - I know you said they re-issued it.
I txt you earlier, did you get it? xx0 -
Fantastic news that the finances are coming together. I don’t think you realise just how well you’re doing. I think I’ve robbed Peter to pay Paul all my life until very recently. You’re getting it sussed now even on your own with 3 littlies. :money::T:money::T:beer:
How along have you been waiting for the DLA (or whatever it’s current name is) now - did they give any indication how long you might have to wait. You’ll feel like you’ve won the lottery once it finally comes through.January spends - £587.580 -
I mean the whole £50 Tea. I don't think it's possible though. Going to have another sit and think about it.
Sorry I did get your text I read it then never went back to replyI'm the worst for that!!
Thank you Milann. Last payment from DLA was in October!!

About the DD: could you perhaps reduce it a little? I try to have mine a little more than I use (but not that much) so that it builds up a small reserve for winter. and juggle with meter readings. I seem to have arrived at a level that is right for me that way.
I know you would be wary about getting into arrears so it might be better for your peace of mind to pay a few months at a higher rate then take a look?
I'm sure there are lots of way around it. So long as the DD isn't stupidly about your actual usage, I'm sure it will be OK (but a few extra pounds in your pocket each month wouldn't harm, either). xxx
I always pay more than I need to in the summer as I hate having to top up in winter, when food is more expensive and consumption is higher. My suggestion is that you leave it at this level if you can manage it and come next May, when you have been on a DD for a whole year, you can request any refund to put towards next year's holiday (because you will be in that position by then:T)

That's a good idea to leave it in place effectively as "savings" Suffolk Lass - if you CAN cope with it as it is WF then that could be a great way forwards.
Does your provider offer any form of incentive for referrals - bill credit etc? If so have you posted on the relevant thread in the referrals board on here with that, and also popped it out there on any social media you use?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Morning WB
Hope you and the smalls are all well and that your meeting went/goes well. Has that bloomin' cheque arrived yet? Have a lovely day. xx

Afternoon, Sorry for the silence, I broke my phone charger and I couldn't remember my password to log in on anything else! So now I have a phone charger again!
Not really anything to update. Youngest still isn't sleeping before 2am - this needs to change and first thing Monday morning I'm going to kick up a fuss to get this sorted as I just can't cope anymore
Anyway onto more positive news I'm really skint but I have enough in the bill account to cover everything going forward it will look after it's self. It's worth being skint for as this is now the last week as I won't be playing catch up constantly. So in 7 days I will really feel the benefit of it when I get my 'shopping allowance' and things will still be covered. How exciting - or maybe I'm just boring and it excites me more than it should!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend - the weather is horrid here!

Well, I think it's very exciting and I bet everybody else who's been cheering you on feels the same :T
Hope you make some headway with DD's sleep. You must be exhausted but at least you've not had to be up and out of the house for school. But now they're going back you really can't carry on like that so I hope you get something sorted.
I'm sure I've asked you this before but do you have access to a night sitter or something similar just so you get a few hours to switch off. xx0
