The main thing is it makes sense to you and you feel organised and in control. You've come a long way these past few months. It's not been easy financially or with health issues so well done. :T xx0

The finances are looking very organised Wannabe and I'm glad to see that all the bills are covered and there is a little left over for school items, unexpected expenses etc.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thank you, it will be good. Just got to get through this first month and then it should work better all round.
Then I'll just be keeping track of the spends account on here and the 'bills' account should just tick over nicely once the first direct debits are covered and gone.
Smalls are all bathed, fed and in bed. I still have some bits to do.
Hope you have all had a good weekend

Pleased to read their dad did his bit, he should help out more, I suspect he doesn't do as much as he should.
I'm glad you're getting yourself sorted - things can only get better xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Bill Account - All money coming in will go in here this needs to cover
£95.04 Rent (Weekly)
£19.70 Council Tax (Weekly)
£11.40 Water (Weekly)
£140 Gas/Electricity (Monthly 14th)
£10 Phone credit (Monthly 1st)
£50 to 'cash account' (Weekly)
Cash account needs to cover
£30 Shopping (Groceries, cleaning, toiletries, pharmacy)
£2 Snack (Weekly)
£? School (Always something)
£? Travel (Hoping this will be less on bus fares if the nicer weather stays! but will have train fares to the children's these next few weeks)
There is a small bit extra 'left' in the bill account not accounted for yet. This obviously will take quite a while to build up but it's a start to being more organised and not having to worry about things as much. Hopefully. I bet I still check it everyday and write things down at least 10 times a day but it's a start

It's a lot better now
Couldn't have done it without all the help I've received though.
Once this first month is over and everything has caught up etc and I have time to get the direct debit money in before it's due I think I'll finally have the feeling of control.
I feel so much happier about things

I think I might have to change it back again. So I can keep the bill account separate but not have things on Direct debit. As I've just logged in to the bank and it seems the 'first' direct debits will do the same as the Gas/Electric and will come out before I've got enough to cover them.
I will call tomorrow and cancel the direct debits and ask to just go back to paying at paypoint until I've built enough in there to get them all on direct debit (probably Christmas time)
Also I've looked at bus passes and a yearly pass on a direct debit is £54 a month - this would save around £30 a month to what I have been paying now so I think I'll aim to save enough to switch to this too. Then there isn't a concern about getting too/from appointments etc.

I've spent far too long looking at all this and now I really need to go and do my jobs that need doing“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0
