Hope you are feeling ok today and managed to have a bit of a read last night."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Thank you Armchair your post hit the spot.
Thank you everyone else too.
Morning again. Older two in school. I've decided I need to reach out (to medical professionals) and be a bit more firm that I'm really struggling with my MH and I need help.
Won't go into details and moan but if I'm quiet I'm working on it.
Thank you again for everything - all of you I really do appreciate it

Morning WB, I've been wondering exactly what Armchair suggested and reading between the lines. I'm so glad you are going to push for more support from 'the professionals'. I know that in an ideal world you wouldn't have to push but sometimes getting on with things and appearing to cope is counterproductive when it masks how you really feel.
I know from what you've said that you are very good at 'putting on a brave face'. I hope you get the support you need when you reach out x0 -

I am so glad to hear you say that you're going to be firmer about receiving help. Please don't just struggle on and put on a brave face. Take all the help and support that you need, deserve and are offered. And I say again we are all here for you.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Hi Financialpickle
Welcome to the forum, but I think you may have meant to post this as a diary or separate post of your own, rather than on WF's diary thread?

Also posted on the main diaries board - hopefully Sourcrates or one of the other boardguides can delete the misplaced post.
WF - remember that it is absolutely OK to not be OK - in ANY circumstances but most definitely in those you appear to have found yourself in. Armchair does indeed word things beautifully. You get the support you need from wherever helps - be that posting on here, by direct contact with people you know from here or elsewhere who you know will listen and offer constructive help or just virtual hugs, or via medical professionals. No shame in ANY of that. Try to set aside any personal expectations of what you "should" do as well - "shoulds" are horrible - you are just as entitled to get support if it is needed as anyone else.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thank you
For now a brave face is needed for the outside world. It stops the questions and everything else.
Thank you for your replies.

So time to make some plans.. This week is different so out the budget - have to buy some things on Friday £130.20 (why is special needs things so much more expensive? It will last though and is a 'one off')
Weekly Out
£99.10 Rent (will need to catch up a little after I've sorted everything this week)
£25.60 CT
£15 Gas
£15 Electric
£11.40 Water
£2.50 TV License
£2.50 for phone credit
£16 bus pass *this is needed now we have so many appointments
£33 Debt
£2 Snack
£25 for food/everything else.
Debt
Debt £490
Medical item £190
Keeping it simple. Only two goals.
To be debt free soon as possible (then debt repayments will go into an EF and 'fun' pot)
Be happy.
I'm going to go back to posting the debt updates monthly. Im over focussed on it and I'm driving myself crazy. Going round in circles trying to think of solutions to everything and I just can't. So that's that.
I can't change whats happening in 'life' just got to make the most of that too. Sitting angry and sad about it is wasting time I keep going on about I want to make the most off. This isn't making the most of it.
Need to get back to making real food and things. No excuses.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0
