I never cry ever!
Maybe you should try it more often - sometimes a good cry is the only answer

If the new arrangement keeps the wolf from the door and a roof over your head and also eases your stress levels a bit then I don't see why anybody wouldn't agree with what you've chosen to do - least of all your friends on here
Completely agree. Anything that eases your stress levels. And if anybody can make that budget work, you can.
Glad that the housing are looking into it but I still think there is some kind of misunderstanding.
Nothing wrong with a good cry if it makes you feel better and you are a fantastic parent, Your children always come first. They are loved and very well looked after.
Hope the wee one picks up a bit. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
A good cry is just sometimes what we need.
It was the anniversary of my dads death earlier in the year & I watched someething on FB & cried like I havent cried in years. You are a brilliant parent, the one reason being that you always put your children first.Always, whatever life throws at you and at the moment that seems to be a lot of stress and anxiety, they always come first. Plus you do it all alone, which is incredibly difficult.
Rubbish unhealthy meals every now and again will do no harm at all. When I was teaching we had a girl in Y2 who was grossly overweight, bordering on obese. Her diet was a take away every night, that she was allowed to eat in her bedroom! That is eating rubbish consistently.
I imagine when your children grow up they will look back and realise they had an amazing childhood. They were loved, cared for, their needs met and as a child, really that is all you need.
Their childhood will have been rich with love and as they get older they will be very aware of it.
Just keep on keeping on and remember in the really grotty times 'this to will pass'.0 -
Thank you.
You're right it will pass.
I feel I just need to be debt free and be making the most of our time. Making them happy. We know we have limited time and we are lucky and I'm grateful it's more than some. But still I want to make the most of every second and I just feel like I'm not/I haven't been.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
I bet Housing will come back and admit they were in the wrong but given your stress levels over the house I do agree that the way you have done is better for your mental health (albeit I assume you are having to pay interest)
Often there is more to life than money....
Hope your stress levels will ease somewhat now.0 -
Just saying again - you are doing amazingly :TJanuary spends - £587.580

I was once told that a good cry is like a release valve, bawling my eyes out has certainly helped me in the past.........it solves nothing but makes me feel better
You are an amazing Mummy who manages to deal with all life throws at you while putting the smalls first in everything you can.
A few quick freezer dinners make life easy for you and, if I remember rightly, are seen as a treat by the smalls so it is a win/win!:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
I'm sorry you feel bad today Wannabe
. But I'm glad you've spoken to housing and feel like the roof over your head is secure.
You and the DC will have lovely memories. So many parents just stick their kids in front of the telly, but you do so many lovely things with them, from baking and crafting to playing games. Your DC are very well looked after and know that you love them.
