You should try to carry on with your birthday plans. At least don't write off whatever you were planning to do just yet, not until you find out from school about how you can pay for DS's trip. Working on yourself if equally as important as the children.
Mine just took trainers from memory and Pennywise has hit the nail on the head, it's stuff you wouldn't mind coming back muddy. xx0 -
Will keep my eyes open in the SA. The list says
3 x T-shirts, 3 x Sweatshirts, 3 Pairs of Trousers, 1 x Pair of Shorts, 6 x Underwear, 6 x Socks, 1 pair of Trainers, 1 pair of outdoor shoes/boots, 2 x towels, 1 x coat, 1 x waterproof jacket, 1 x warm hat/summer hat, 1 x pair of gloves, 1 x black bin liner, 1 x set of pyjamas, 1 x bag of toiletries.
I've put the list on the board and we will work on it slowly. I think I've decided I have to make sure he can go

Bank Balance £14.69 (£10 aside for DS)
- £4.18 Mr A
Been for eggs and butter also got baking paper. Should be no more spends now until we need bread and milk in the middle of the week.
We got back just before it went really grey and started pouring down.
Now I have no excuse not to do the cooking and bakingOther than I just want to stay sat here on the sofa :rotfl:

The list seems do-able, especially as he's not going until September and some things he'll already have. Have you told him he can go yet or is he still at the fingers crossed stage
Enjoy the baking session. I need to make an apple sponge for tomorrow. DD is coming home with a friend for lunch and it's her favourite pud. xx0 -
I've told him I'll try my best Tea, but it would have to be his birthday present as I definitely can't do both.
I didn't bakeI did cook the other things though and there is 3 sausage casserole ready meals and 3 casserole gone into the freezer. I will bake cakes and biscuits tomorrow so we have some for pack lunches.
To be honest I haven't done much this afternoon. Feel a bit rubbishAll will be fine though.
