    He's a size 3 US

Unfortunately, too wee for any of our old military boots (smallest boot-size we have among us is a 5) but me and the lads are going to see what we can do for him for whatever kit he needs ;)

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Got the floors done and I'm clean :p

Smalls finally all asleep too. Ironing can wait till tomorrow. It's only the uniform and isn't dry yet ;)

It doesn't say a day Tea, just to complete the forms and pay the deposit.

I know Milann never ends does it  Although if he'd brought it home 2 weeks ago I wouldn't have been able to even think about! It would have been a definite no.

Reading the letter he should have brought an information book home with what he needed and what he does etc. He didn't though (He is the worst child ever at bringing things home! He's lost single shoes and all sorts!)

Feeling positive still today. Even if things didn't work out today with the coffee - Less said about that the better :rotfl: It will happen at some point.

I have plans to do something for myself near my birthday. Just need to work out how and when. Not something big or exciting or expensive just small travel costs. Just something I need to take a huge step to do by myself and I've decided that's my birthday present to myself if I can fit it in.

And now it's wrote down I can't back out and pretend I didn't promise myself I'd try ;)

  • Wannabe I have been on several residentials with yr 5/6 and the children have always been provided with walking boots, rucksacks and waterproofs when they get to the centre, they have always slept in some kind of room with bunkbeds usually in small groups and bedding is provided (quite funny watching yr 6 boys trying to make a bed). Check with school but I don't think you will need to buy these items, both my children went on residentials aswell at primary to different locations and were provided with the above. They usually need a warm coat or if its summer a paca mac kindof thing and old joggers/trackies, hoodies etc. Don't send anything decent it all comes back muddy, wet and stinking.

Thank you Penny, I've found the booklet screwed up in his coat

They provide a kit. I think he will just need some shoes suitable for walking in and a waterproof coat. I think we have the other stuff. He doesn't have 'old' things though? They only have 3-4 outfits anyway? Will they get ruined? :o If so I might start looking in the SA for joggers/t-shirts.

    Thank you Tea

Bank Balance £18.87 (£10 aside for DS)

    Afternoon

Got my cleaning done. Going to get some baking done today why the oven is on turning the 'meat' I think it's beef into casserole and pie. Was supposed to be a NSD but I need butter and eggs and didn't get them on my shopping :( So it won't be. Will be a LSD though.

Smalls all seem to have this cold lingering and are annoying each other :o Driving me insane!

I have to admit I'm addicted to Heartland on Netfl!x and I think I will use all my data on my phone watching it :o Need to stop or at least slow down :rotfl:

Hope you all have a lovely Saturday :)

  • I'm glad to see you are going to treat yourself for your birthday - you deserve it! :bdaycake::grin:

It sounds like DS's trip might be manageable. I imagine so long as he has sturdy shoes and a decent coat, that's the main thing. Everything else will be gravy.

I'm not sure about treat PB - More of something that needs to be worked on :o A huge step out my own comfort zone although I might not now. I might use the travel costs to pay DS's deposit :o I have plenty of time to work on 'fixing' myself.

Just clothes that you wouldn't mind getting a bit mucky, the sort of thing that you would send your kids out into the garden in or to the park, I call them playing out clothes. I've known some parents to go out and buy brand new everything including new trainers :eek:and then complain they have come back muddy.
