It will get better, once the debt is gone :)

Once the smalls birthdays are done there is nothing until Xmas and I'll be debt free by then :D that makes me so happy. Then we would have £65 a week for everything which is a huge difference

I've been there with young children and skint many years ago. It does get better. The good thing is you're still young and getting it sorted. Happy days when you get debt free, it won't be long now :)

I make the DC's birthday cakes as well and we used to do movie and popcorn nights. I miss those days.

The birthday plans for your 3 little ones sound lovely. I'm not usually stumped for words but I don't actually know what to say about your budget of £30 having to cover everything for yourself and 3 children. I thought it was just for food :( x

& at the moment it is only 15 pw :(

Oh it's so cold tonight! I made soup because I forgot to feed myself.

Smalls are all tucked up sleeping. It's so quiet. Do you not think it makes the nights feel so much longer when it's silent?

Think I'm going to make a hot water bottle and get on the sofa and see if there's something on TV. Still surveying still not reached payout and nothing available now to do.

I think we are going to have a quiet weekend and stay warm. It can't just be me that thinks its really cold!

P.S the smalls are warm I checked ;)

Its minus 2 here, and I am out of heating oil until the delivery arrives in the morning. I have an oil radiator on in the kitchen so the temp does not drop too much and break the fridge or freezer, and am also going to sleep on the sofa as the living room is warmer than the bedroom until I finish getting the rest of the ceiling insulated and replaced. Nothing on tv, so I am reading on here :D

Hi Wannabe just reposting here what I mentioned on Beanie's thread. As you are with the Nationwide bank you could use their refer a friend scheme.

If you can find someone who wants to switch their current account to Nationwide you can get £100 for referring them and they get £100 for switching...win win. They need to switch a current account within 90 days that has 2 direct debits on it and there are 3 Nationwide accounts they could choose to switch to (Flex Direct has no minimum pay in). I think all they would need to do is give you their name and email address so that you can make the referral. You can make up to five referrals so effectively up to £500

Just a thought...not a quick fix but worth a look if anyone is looking to switch.

    Morning :)

Everyone is still in bed. Thought I'd leave them why they can have a lay in and I can enjoy my morning cuppa in peace and quiet without rushing :rotfl:

Still have some bits of cleaning to do but it's wet outside so no cleaning out there today. Think we will bake fairy cakes and oat biscuits today. Youngest has started to have an oat biscuit every night before bed (she has to eat with/after meds I don't over feed them :o)

Will probably do something crafty too so they are kept busy

Hope you all have a good day
