I love Starbucks Cumbria but went in the coffee shop facing the town hall today thinking it would be cheaper it wasn't as nice though
but I did spend quite a while people watching so was worth it
I know Beanie, good thing is the washing powder and toiletries will last a month

It might mean next week is a cheaper one though grocery wise though

Sounds like the money on coffee was well spent. I love people watching

I love people watching too

Next week will be less SA. It has to be :rotfl: But I won't have washing powder nor toiletries on it so should be back to £10ish.

A lot of vegetables and mash Beanie
:rotfl: I don't think I could do it long term
It's surprising how much difference there is between a budget of £10-£15 a week and £25-£30 in terms of choice of meals/toiletries etc.

Are you still on track for a time line of 6 weeks tops for your grocery spends to be this tight? We could probably all pull something out of the hat for a couple of weeks one way or another you're so right, having to do it long term must be unbelievably hard and stressful.

Yeah Teafor2, just the 6 weeks the rent is an extra £25. Then the budget goes back to £30 for everything other than the bills.

That's good to know there's an end in sight but when you say you'll have £30 to cover 'everything', does that mean it's not actually all food money? Has it got to cover other things like clothes, transport, school costs etc. x0

Yeah everything it's enough though
It makes things a lot easier though and its doable. I have cards already for the smalls birthdays and I will make their cakes. They will also make cards to each other and we will have something normal for dinner but eat it as a picnic in the living room. We will probably pop some popcorn and have a movie/games night. So there shouldn't be anything to push it too much

I make the DC's birthday cakes as well and we used to do movie and popcorn nights. I miss those days.
The birthday plans for your 3 little ones sound lovely. I'm not usually stumped for words but I don't actually know what to say about your budget of £30 having to cover everything for yourself and 3 children. I thought it was just for food
