I'll put the word out for a second-hand lappy for you if would like?
Pretty sure there will be someone I know that has one ;)
I have an old (I think Windows XP) laptop sitting gathering rather a lot of dust, that needs getting rid of if that is any use?
Edit, it is XP and amazingly it still works, so if its needed drop me a PM

  • Wannabe, I'm wondering if you've done a recent check that you are getting all of the help that you should be? Are you getting income support?

Please use the food bank again if you need to and hopefully soon littlest's DLA will be sorted with a back pay (hoping you got carers too?) And then you will be able to give new donations to the food bank if you still feel guilty for having to use it.

Benefits are all up in the air CT No carers while no DLA too. Although I think once the DLA is sorted then the carers will be pretty much at the same time if I understood correctly. Tax credits also went down as we lost the disability element and then they said I'd been overpaid so it's less again although they did say that if the DLA is reawarded this again will be sorted too. Income support stopped the same time as carers but now I get £73 a week until carers is back in payment and then that will change again back to what it was

  • It's such a pain when everything is on hold, we had it when they hadn't made a decision on DS's before it ran out. there may be some other help you could be getting but then if it's all reinstated you weren't entitled to that other help so not sure how it all works when that happens. And yes, I'm sure our carers started back automatically once sorted.

I hope they don't take too long to decide x

DD2 has slept so much better. She was asleep for 10pm (still too late but better than whole nights awake!)

Have some things to chase up tomorrow for her equipment. Also need to do the ironing and meal plan.

I'm considering swapping bedrooms round so I go into the girls and the girls into what's currently mine. I don't have a bed yet anyway and the room is much bigger for the two of them.

    Xx

  • Having your own space is important, even if only to go to in order to snatch a few moments to think. Is the lack of a bed contributing to the lack of sleep? Seeing the early hours in again myself...hope you get some sleep and have a good day later.

Have you heard of Olio WF? It's a site where people give away surplus food. It might be worth a look to see if anything is available in your area?

Its a freebie if you are happy with using one that is old. Its been sitting gathering dust and I have offered it to a few people who said they were needing one but they wanted something more up to date than XP, so its just waiting for someone to say yes they want it. I have sent you a pm :)
