Glad to hear the ashes are home. My friend put her dogs ashes in an outside plant pot and and planted it up. The smalls could paint some stones to go around the plants to commemorate her. It means that if you ever move house she can go with you too.
I hope you have a lovely few days in the run up to Christmas...the smalls will be so excited x

    Afternoon :D

Sorry we have had a busy weekend! All unplanned and sent me into anxiety craziness. I feel like I haven't sat down for two days!

We went to the SA carol singing event in the local centre yesterday morning, left some cards and homemade things from the smalls for those who wanted them. While there they invited us to their Xmas Lunch today so the smalls got excited and I excepted. I feel a bit guilty we got a free Christmas lunch today. However the smalls have had a brilliant day. They helped to do the cleaning up :rotfl: and have chatted to many who attend the SA as they are lonely etc. It was such a lovely atmosphere. Totally different to the atmosphere out and around. A lot of stressed looking people running around looking lost in the madness.

We came home and they are now decorating some more gingerbread biscuits (this time for themselves to eat)

Smalls have some more lovely cards and gifts - So a huge thank you to you all that have sent :A Youngest is so please with her card collection I think we will never be able to take them down :rotfl:

It's truly been a wonderful (very wet) weekend and all for no cost. We haven't spent on anything. I did forget to grab some pain killers though so will need to pop and get some tomorrow.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the run up to the big day :)

    x

Great to hear that you've had a lovely weekend. :)
Enjoy the magic of Christmas with the Smalls ... they grow up so quickly, and it's never quite the same. ((hugs)) X
    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy
  • Your weekend sounds wonderful and full of the true spirit of Christmas instead of the commercial madness.

You have NOTHING to feel guilty about, it’s just a return of good karma Xx
