Hello, W. Nice to hear you sounding so positive.

Christmas sounds perfect to me. Lots of activities and a few presents is all that's needed. We decided a couple of years ago to buy things that we knew each other liked (mainly books and chocolate), wrap them up nicely and spend the day watching our favourite old movies. Dinner is just what we feel like eating, nothing fancy and it has to be easy. I don't know why we didn't do it before. A relaxing day with no pressure.

I'm sure the wee ones will love whatever you do.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Thank you for the lovely replies :D

I love all the talk of Xmas and it not all being about the latest toys and gadgets.

We will have a real tree again I think, depending on if I still get the good discount (it means I can get a big tree delivered for about £15) if not we will buy a cheap fake one. We make most of the decorations and I obviously have the ones made previously too. I really need to get on with making an advent calendar with them and finishing the list of activities to put into it. I have some already. I use 24 plastic wallets and have the items for each days activity in them ready, obviously not the baking ingredients etc if its a baking one but it has the instructions/cutters etc in. If it wasn't like this I wouldn't have time to do them each day. I will post the list once it's finished but it has things like make Christmas crackers/make Christmas cards/make thank you notes/make Santa's biscuits/make reindeer dust etc. Some are more along watch an Xmas movie too. There's only one day it's a paid activity and that's the panto which I got half price through the Union.

Xmas eve is usually spent baking and handing out the homemade goodies to the old people's home. We won't be visiting/or having family visiting this year so that cuts a lot of time spent running around.

I keep checking the Salvation army for books for them and for them a new outfit. We are making wrapping paper with a roll of lining paper and paints.

I still haven't posted the debt totals. I can't even remember what they where when I was last here :o They are slowly going down though. The CT is now around £500 and the rent around £1800ish including court costs I think.

I need to buy stamps for Xmas cards however I burnt my last diary/notebook with everyone's address in :o That wasn't clever.

    Xx
