    You start at zero then for each batch you do it moves you up 20% then once you reach 100% it moves you back to 0 again!

    They throw in a few trick ones on verifying the outside of the building, sometimes it will be the wrong building.

    Morning all :)

    How annoying about the purse La E

    It's not raining here but it doesn't look great either, one look out of the window was enough to send me back to bed with a cup of tea! I do plan to hit the big town near my mum's house this afternoon though and then I can go on to my mum's from there so I won't be wasting petrol. I'm going to park in the Sainsbugs car park and walk into town to save on parking fees.

    I can't face ringing Amazon so I'm going to contact them via the messaging system instead.

    The quote for an 'actual' job from my new printer varies greatly from th speculative one they gave me. I have raised this with them and, if they don't rectify, I will stick with my current one.

    I have just joined a trade association because I believed it would give me access to a lot of resources in the members area but it doesn't, what I believed would be a members forum where people shared hints and tips is just a list of bad payers of which there are only a handful for each year. I don't know where I stand with asking for a refund but I will try.

    I will try to sneak in the Christmas presents I bought for DS yesterday to wrap, they aren't terribly exciting, just a pack of Pokemon socks, a T shirt and a hoodie while I had access to a New L00k and Prlmark. I have a couple of other things I've bought with my Amazon earnings.

    I've cashed out my Amazon vouchers so they come through in time for Friday just in case there are any good deals though it pains me to buy into yet another Americanism. I actually saw Thanksgiving food in the supermarket! I did however see a lovely meme along the lines of 'only in America would people trample each other to get to bargains just a day after being thankful for all they already have'.

    Have a good day all :)

  • *waves* Hi, ok its been some time since I was last in the forums (Oct 2015 to be exact) and things have been ticking along ok....until recently.

    And so, I'm back, from outerspace, i just walked in with that sad look upon my face......

    And needing to get back to my Money saving ways.

    So in the last 24 hours, I have done some of the bigger things, and am committed to the smaller things too

    * update signature with the current distressing picture
    * add up my expected November outgoings for this upcoming pay
    * cancel the car insurance and car tax for the car I no longer own!!!!!
    * look into how I will get through xmas this year
    * pot of soup on tonight for work lunches

    Hope you don't mind if I come back and hang out here for a while again!!

  • Hi guys :) I haven't been around for the last week. Life has got demanding on many levels :( which has been draining...

    Have caught up on this week's thread - not enough time or energy for last week's!

    Have a combination of a couple of things needed to do and some self care today - trying to keep it simple :)

    * read newsletter
    * housework
    * do a bit of gardening. Garden is a real mess at the moment. 30 minute bursts over a week or two will get it ship shape ;)
    * some form of exercise. Might go for a run or will go a youtube aerobics session - need exercise at the moment!
    * take madam to ballet after school
    * audio book/knitting/reading this evening
    * some 1-2-1 with madam after ballet. She's not been doing too well the last week, which has been stressful Must remember "connection before correction" and "the more difficult their behaviour the closer you need to keep them"
    * post ebay sale

    anyway that'll do. Happy hump day guys x

  • Afternoon everyone

    The weather here is warm but shocking, I'm surprised by how much my heating has been off.

    Managed to get out first thing to do some chores and shopping that I never got done yesterday.
    Went over budget as the bars that DD likes(currently working on her next stash bag for uni after Christmas) were on special offer. I try and get a box of bars or something every time I go shopping but got a few extra packs today-thinking of giving the bag of goodies as a present from her cat!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    Pleased yesterday I really hit the paperwork just one piece to finish and I have finally sent the email that I was dodging.
    Minimal spending. Again like FVD I hate buying into Americanism but have picked up some cracking bargains for presents for birthdays next year in the black Friday deals going on which now seem to start earlier and earlier than the actual day
    Finally worked out how much I had actually saved on birthdays and Christmas in 2017 by being frugal and keeping an eye out for presents that people would like at a price I can afford.
    Altogether on birthday and Christmas presents I have saved a £1000:eek:
    CLF I hope you are feeling better with the cold. My DD always grabs a toilet roll if she has a cold and then I find tissues everywhere:mad:
    DawnW I hope you are finding time for you. Brilliant that a new baby is on the way but hard going for you with ur OH aswell.
    angelflowerwelcome:) it's a thread that has kept me on the straight and narrow since my IVA finished. I always feel accountable if I keep posting if you see what I mean:D
    It is very quiet on the thread at the minute, I hope everyone is doing okay.
    Have a good day everyone x

    Welcome back, Angelflower, and don't worry, you will survive ;)

    Sorry to hear things have been stressful for you, DNMS, hope some form of normality can be achieved soon :)

    Today hadn't totally gone to plan, it looks so horrible out I didn't do the job spotting and stayed home and worked up another design to add to my print run to get the more bargainous price.

    Lunch was tomatoes, mushrooms and egg with bread and butter to dip in, all of which I already had. My mum is taking me out to a new steakhouse tonight so I have cooked sausages for DS and there is mash in the fridge.

    DS was out this afternoon so I took the opportunity to retrieve all the cutlery and crockery from his room and three bin liners of rubbish.

    I've still not contacted Amazon as they seem to only be available US hours, I will do that now :(
