It's christmas for dogs too...

OK and cats but I found this whilst surfing the mixes in a jar links posted on the other threads :)

Some of them are very very simple and I think will be a great gift idea for all those friends who have pets and whom you just CAN'T think of anything else for :) Or just to make for their pets as an extra pressie if you're an animal lover :)
I will make some batches for my dog training classes and I am sure the chief taster (Kira my dog) will be able to lead me on the right path to the perfect recipies ;)

To posh them up you could use celophane baggies (ebay are cheap) and some twine or ribbon to tie it off. I WOULD put on there if they contain nuts (like the peanut cookies) or milk etc. If you make any choccie ones make sure you state you have used dog choccies so they are safe for Fido or Rex etc :)

HM dog cookies would be fab - might have to have a go for my mums two.

The other idea I was thinking of was trying to turn old duvets into new dog beds for them. And if I was really spoiling them I was thinking of a dog version of the baby gym things with toys attached :o

Well for doggy beds I actually use half a single duvet and cover... my dog is spoilt so when she was crated she actually had the whole duvet just folded in half :)
Ifyou look in Tesco you'll find that a value duvet and value dovet cover comes to about £8-9 I think (bargain!) and you could easily make 2 beds out of that (matching too!). The duvet covers are a blue and white small check and isn't actually bad at all...
Or pick different ones up in sales etc (I don't have any single covers and I'm lazy :rotfl:)
