Had to get up a whole half hour earlier this morning because I'm starting work earlier :( Still feel as if I should be under the duvet!

DD back in school today after 3 months off. I hope she's going to be OK, DS has got a teacher training day so he doesn't go back until tomorrow. It'll be nice to get into some sort of routine again, when the kids off school everything seems to gets left!

Still no watchers on the x-box but I have sold 2 PS2 games over the weekend so have made a few quid there.

Hope you all have a good day.

Nothing new to report today. Still no news off the Halifax. I have booked the cat in to be neutered next week I couldn't cope with kittens, though the kids would love it!

Managed to get the Amazon parcels sent off today but not managed to sell any more which is a bit disappointing. I want to get rid of everything on my inventory - I'm sure they'll go eventually. Still no watchers on the e-bay item either!

    Hi GR
How's it gone with the boss today? Hope you got something sorted.
What big snowflakes yesterday, it was lovely. Glad it didn't stick though, I hate driving in the snow.
Snow on the mountains sounds lovely.
Off to update my diary and put my before and after pics on, if I can remember how to do it lol
    Catch you later hun

Ooooo Diz, are these the pictures of the fireplace? Can't wait to see them.

It went OK with the boss today. The witch wasn't in work today so the office was much calmer and more relaxed. He has noticed the atmosphere and he's agreed to speak to her when she next looses her temper. Ive not decided what to do about the other job though. I'm still thinking about that.

How was it back at school today?

:D I like the name for her GR...
School was okay. Got to get used to getting up early now though and going to bed earlier lol It was lovely seeing all their smiling faces, they are sweeties.
Glad to hear your boss is going to do something about it...he doesn't want to lose you and he knows he might if it carries on.

I really envy the holidays you get Diz, I get 33 days a year plus the Bank Holidays and always seem to book time off for a reason. Would love to have a week off just for me. Have booked off the afternoon a week Wednesday as the cat is going in to be neutered. I'm taking her in to the vets on my way to work and picking her up in the afternoon. Not looking forward to it at all though.

Don't worry GR, she'll be fine. I've got to get Tillie done. She has to go in between her seasons so that'll be July now, so I'll book her in in the holidays. That's just a day too.
They get over things quicker than us don't they. It's worrying though. Bless 'em. I do love cats, they're so smart and cheeky.
I must admit GR the holidays are great, it's roughly 3 months off a year with pay and when the kids were little it really helped. We keep being told we're due a big pay rise in September backdated to April but they've been saying that for goodness knows how long. I don't care though, I still want my Fridays off in September.
You'd be great in school with your talents, I could see you being really gentle and kind with those that need it. It's not too late you know GR.

I don't think I'd have the patience working in a school. I think if they were small children I'd be fine but once they hit 10 and grunt and get attitude I don't think I'd cope. I'm also really soft and would worry about any child that I thought looked scruffy or dirty or didn't have an appropriate packed lunch. I find it really hard to distance myself from situations.

As for the cat I absolutely dote on her. I said when ourlast cat died that I'd neer have another one and I lasted all of 2 months. This cat is so wicked, nothing is too much trouble for her. She's called Baby (after Dirty Dancing) and she really is like a real baby. She's not interested in going out, she eats the same food as us practically, I have to nurse her in my arms for her to go to sleep and she sleeps on the top bunk of DS's bed. She even goes over to mums for Sunday lunch!

I hope the payrise comes through for you. Its been announced today that our payrise is a 3 year deal and will equal 8%. This year we're getting 2.75%. Not bad I suppose - better than nothing at all. Every year the unions fight for more and we end up getting the rise in about November time with a few months backpay. It's always great to have a lump sum.

Your cat sounds like your baby GR...are you getting broody?
So sweet. I don't think I'd like to work in high school, but in juniors I think they're still relatively human lol
Good news about your payrise. Like you say anythings better than nothing.
You've just reminded me about the union. I must join. I keep meaning too but haven't got round to it, silly really with the job I have. Will have a look online and see what I have to do. Thanks.

Just had a look, they need a signature so can't do it online. The offices are not far from work so I'll call in one day.

Oh Diz the cat is my baby. I used to want loads of children but circumstances didn't allow it. Got to 2 then DH found himself an older model with grown up children. He said he couldn't cope with family life.

I'm far too old for them now, I wouldn't have the patience. That just reminded me. On my first date with new bf thats the first thing he said to me was 'Do you want any more kids?' I thought - OMG he's a quick worker I didn't even know his surname. What he was trying to tell me was that he'd had the snip and didn't want me to get involved with him if I wanted more. Sometimes men are rubbish in saying what they mean.

I've paid union fees for years but never used it. It's always there if I need it though!
