Vauxhall lifetime warranty ☹

Vauxhall were happy with my getting the car serviced by my local mechanic, as long as he was Vauxhall-approved and could provide parts numbers for everything they fitted. I think this time it may be because I was a bit late getting the Vauxhall Health Check (because to be honest I wasn't happy the last time I went to my local Vauxhall and was loath to go back!) that they first insisted my mechanic write the temperature of the anti-freeze (which Vauxhall have never recorded in my service log!) and now the rest of it....still awaiting their reply

UPDATE just in case you were wondering...
Had to get spark plugs changed in the end, although no official docs produced telling us why, we just went with it to keep the warranty. As we were late, they reactivated it but only until the original date it was due, so in effect not even for a year. I'm left with feeling that nobody really knows the whys or wherefores and I guess you're not going to get anywhere with them, it's such a huge company.
