I was wondering too. Perhaps one of us should start an "unofficial" January thread? I'm aiming to go low this coming month and would really appreciate you lot keeping me on my toes!Angie - GC Aug25: £207.73/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

Oh dear, does that translate into It Was A Disaster? If so, not to worry - I think quite a few of us went over budget. And we can start again in January.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.0 -

Evening all - just calculated Nov/Dec grocery costs which included little bits for xmas came to £154.92.
From the monies left over from previous grocery monthly budges £37 was spent on Gin. Still have lots of gin left over for NYE.
It has been an interesting year so far for me grocery wise.

Got £6.26 to add to the budget, stopped by at Her*n foods to get some chicken nuggets/chips for tea, also got some snack bits and a bag of alphabites for quick teas for my boys.
Need to get milk and hubby doesn't want bread rolls from the freezer for lunch so I've told him buy bread rather than a meal deal as we already have ham and tomatoes etc!Grocery Challenge 2024

Thank you Suffolk Lass for letting us know about the new thread. Today was another NSD so that brings me up to 11 this month. I may have to get a few things tomorrow but I'll try to avoid it.0 -
I'm up to £132.49 out of £157.04 so far this month. I'll probably do a small top up shop tomorrow or Sunday but it shouldn't cost to too much certainly not the £24.55 I have left available! I'll call that a win for this month!

Afternoon everyone. We've had a couple of spends today.
€15.08 for glass cleaner and more dishwasher tablets (OH decided to buy some that were on proper sale this time!)
€2.40 for clementines at the local market. That should keep us in fruit for the next couple of days.
This brings us to €396.17. We're heading out to get some other household stuff like lightbulbs but I won't count them into the total. I'll ask OH if he wants anything special for tomorrow night. We're staying in just for ourselves and instead of buying champagne, I decided to make hot toddys to ring in the new year using all the alcohol we have at home.
I'll update my sig too.0 -
Popped to Ald! today to get a few bits to last us until our new budget starts on the 1st. Got milk, bread, cereal and a few other bits, spent £22.06. Realised when I got home that I need nappies, so will pop in tomorrow as Ald! are closed on NYD.Grocery Challenge 2024

I thought I wouldn't have many more spends, but then I ended up with an unplanned day to myself yesterday; and so went to Aldi with my Dad. I haven't been for ages, so enjoyed the little meander around.
In total i spent £54.10 and bought a few things in B and M also earlier on in the day, which ill have to find the total of.
Today in Morrisons I spent 0.70p and 0.99 in work.
I will add this to total and hopefully won't be going out tomorrow to any shops. I'm off tomorrow, and so pj day for me. Also in work early Monday, so won't be buying alcohol in specially.i have two cans of pear cider left from Aldi, if I really fancy a tipple.
I will declare the yearly spend once i've found yesterday's B and M food spend.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July ££110.46/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month.
