Hi, I just wanted to feedback how I did this month. I put down for £280 and I've just done the receipts and we ended up with £257. I'm not sure how we managed that but I think a few of our receipts went astray somewhere along the way so the total is probably a bit higherSealed pot challenge 2019 = #82

I had my first and last spends in a while, came to £6.74. I won't be spending any more, if I do it will come out of bulk fund and the leftover monies will go into that, so would like to declare at £71.08. I went totally over on my alcohol budget, but hey. Happy New Year everyone, see you in January.

hi all,
not posted often but kept running total and would like to declare final spend as will not be spending anything today.
£2190.15
Bit over whatI estimated, but pretty sure much lower than I expected.
Will try again next year but hope to do much better as this year has definitely been a learning curve, but waste is almost nil now, not a lot ever but evolved to less over this year. thanks everyone for your tips along the way x

That's a really good amount. Well done
Seems I missed not only a spend from work but a spend from B and M. Afternoon everyone. I had one final shopping trip today of €10.33 to get boxed soup, avocados, carrots and mozzarella. That brings my total to €406.50. I overspent by €56.50 which is frustrating but I'll have a go again January for a reduced amount.
Looking back, I could've done without stocking up on a few things for Christmas like foil or plastic wrap as I just didn't use as much as anticipated. Also, I won't buy as many holiday things as a run up because then you just have to buy more closer to the event. I'll try to eat more from the pantry and buy less expensive vegetables and groceries such the boxed soups above.
My contention with this lays with my OH though. He's not exactly a picky eater but he can be contrarian. If I say that I've made a soup for us to eat then sometimes he won't eat it and will boil some pasta instead.Sometimes I have to freeze stuff because he won't eat it even though he made it himself. I think I may start planning meals for just myself. Hrm. I also admit to only wanting 1 or 2 servings of a dish while a few years ago I wouldn't mind eating the same thing all week.
ANYWAY...

hello all,
I went a bit on the missing at the end of the year but kept an eye and tally on spends.
total for the month is a massive £247.47!! which I really wasn't happy about but meant I scraped in under budget...just.
total for the year came to £1841.27 which overall i'm fairly pleased with, that's averaging £153 a month.0 -
Just managed it! :j Final tally was £155.13 / £157.04. A bit of a flurry in the last few days as Dad ended up in hospital and a couple of unplanned ready to eat bits was the quickest / easiest while dealing with that - that and he asked for something from Aldi's so I ended up stocking up on a few things for me to use over the next few weeks / month so £12+ of the food bought hasn't been started yet (cheese and dried / canned stuff).Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!
