(Those of us who've been at the sharp end of labour also realise that it's not usually like in the films where the water breaks at a party or something and everyone then says "oooh quick let's get her to a hospital" - I could have flown to Sydney and back during my labours :rotfl:)

    Fixed that for you :)
A friend of mine who gave birth in the car in the hospital car park, my colleague's mum who gave birth in the car in a lay-by on the way to the hospital and a neighbour's daughter who needed a sudden emergency caesarean at 28 weeks gestation less than 2 months ago would all disagree with you.
    All had 'normal' pregnancies.

  • we dont all need to have a drink to have fun

Depends on your concept of fun I suppose - attending a wedding and not being able to have a couple of drinks does not appeal to me, or the majority of punters I expect.

You are right. If I have a drink I end up curled up in a ball in severe agony from stomach cramps within 10 minutes. Where's the fun in that?

Although one of the fun bits of not drinking is watching those who go OTT with the drink making complete d**is of themselves
