Makes sense to me. The comparison sites are also charging a lot more than would be expected based on the address.
Have you tried a dummy quote using your old address and then another dummy quote using a neighbours address next to your new house? That would tell you:
1) If rates have gone up generally in the area
2) If your new road is significantly more expensive than your old
3) If your actual house number is affecting the quote.0 -
Yes and yes.
Used both old address and neighbours address.
Both were "normal" price of around 3-400£
So in my house it's my house/address that is targeted.
