The days of blacklisting properties rather than people has long since gone.
I'm not even going to try to decipher what you mean.
"“ The days of blacklisting properties rather than people has long since gone." <-- says who? I think in practice you will find it hasn't as per the OP's experience.
OK so I got an insurance quote based on the postcode for the road; phoned up and they got the details up on the screen but when they added the house number they said on 'their system' the premium was actually lower due to the house number. It wasn't a long road either but my daughter was living in the cul-de-sac part which may have affected things.0 -

The credit reference agencies. The addresses you are linked to do not affect your credit score, or your ability to get credit. Your credit score, and ability to get credit, is not affected by other people who have lived at your linked addresses (unless you are financially associated to them).

As I said I think there is another piece in the jigsaw that we are not getting.0 -
We're talking insurance here though, not credit. Insurance companies make up their own rules which don't have to be fair or just to everyone equally.0

Hope you haven't injured your back moving those goalposts.0 -

I asked my current insurer and her reply was
"That's what it says on my screen"
Which was zero help!0
