I use the supermarket packet ones, you mix it with water, i usually stick it into the breadmaker on the dough mix setting. they are really fresh and soft when its cooked.
i dont cook the base before i add the topping takes just under 15 mins to cook normally but i guess it depends on the oven.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
I made my own pizzas until recently (we're on a diet
) and I must say, they were better than any you could buy.
I made mine on the dough setting in the breadmaker, but from the recipe in the book, not a packet and they were scrummy.
Like Lunar, I didnt cook my bases, I just wacked the toppings on the dough and put em in the oven.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Thanks guys - maybe I should have called this thread Can't Cook, Must Learn!!!
I've thought about getting a breadmaker for a little while - do you think they're worth it? Would a really cheap one do as good a job as the posh ones? Is there a special feature to look for to make dough, or should any model do it?
Any tips on which packet dough to try Lunar? Don't even think I've ever seen pizza dough in the supermarket!0 -
I wore my first breadmaker out Panda, we used it loads.
We bought the replacement, then went on a diet about a month later, and havent used it since
Our first one was a dead cheap basic model, and it made dough. The more expensive ones tend to have the jam and cake making options I think. Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I love dominos. For years I've tried to cook pizza, I heat up the oven to the correct temperature, I cook them for the recommended length of time, but the middle of the pizza is always cold!!
The toughest thing about making pizza is making the dough. I always make too little, and then it always tastes really weird and sweet. I have reverted to using pizza bases, and even then it's not quite right.
It's good, but nothing is quite as good as Dominos. Still get one every month or two!Original Debt 08/10/07: £3200

Course you can! The more the merrier! The poor blokes in the Indians up and down the country won't know where all their customers have gone!
Going to see what OH thinks about getting the breadmaker. Thing is, I have a habit of buying gadgets I never use...0
