that's quite easy...first get rice wash it in water till all the starch is removed cover it in cold water touching the tip of your middle finger to the rice and the water coming up to the first wee line on that finger ...boil till the water nearly evaporates then turn down put lid on and cook on a very very low heat for ten mins then remove from heat leaving lid on for a further 5 mins ...your boiled rice should be ready then ...now to make the fried rice you whisk an egg and put a wok (or whatever your using) on to heat let it heat right up till its almost smoking add a wee drop of oil then the egg stir around add the rice and mix add light soy sauce (for taste) and dark soy sauce (for colour) add salt and pepper and if you like them chillies and anything else you fancy like ham, spring onion etc ....

(you can do this before hand it might be easier) now for the chicken cut a breast in half (but not right to the end) add it into a pot of water up to half way up the chicken add mixed herbs put a lid on cook for 5 mins turn and cook for a further 5 mins check to see if it is cooked all the way through .... chop the chicken and add to the rice tastes lovely ..do you have a gravy with yours? i can look a recipe out for that

hope that helps let me know how it goes

ooops forgot to add dont stir the rice

elan, that recipie sounds great. How do you wash the rice? Do you stick in the sink in cold water and scrub it?

When I was with my ex, the number of takeaways we had was shameful. There was a pizza place I would call. He would say hello, and then reel off exactly what I wanted........ahem......he recognised my voice.......

Now I have one about once every 6 weeks or so. Bought one this week as it was OH's birthday. Went for Indian - It came to £27

2 starters, 2 mains, 2 rice, 2 side dishes, 1 bread........gulp.......won't be having one for at least another 6 weeks at that price!!!

I'm saving my piggy points for another £10 pizza hut voucher at the moment, but still got another 400 points to go

Although I have to confess I could murder a Chinese tonight - I'd love it if my OH phoned up and said he was going to his mates to watch the rugby or something similar - I'd be STRAIGHT on the phone for my chicken balls!!!
    Keren, what are piggypoints?

There is also a thread running on the freebies board (I think!) where you can quickly rack up a few points by signing up.

The thread is worth a read as it explains how to do click thrus to get a few points each day.

I thought it may be. Unfortunately, I registered with 3 separte email addresses under different names and they rumbled me as they were all coming from the same ip address almost always at the same time. I think I will set up another account!!!

  • I used to eat loads of Dominos Pizzas. Back at Uni, I would have about three a week, because I didn't know how to cook!

Now I cook my own pizzas, but, you know... they've never quite as good, are they? But that's the good thing, it means when you finally do treat yourself to a Dominos (or whatever your takeaway of choice may be), you enjoy it all the more!

I love dominos. For years I've tried to cook pizza, I heat up the oven to the correct temperature, I cook them for the recommended length of time, but the middle of the pizza is always cold!!

If you use one of the pans with holes in the bottom it will cook more evenly, and keep the pizza in the middle of the oven not the top.
