    Morning

Happy birthday Holly hope you have a lovely day

    Cold and icy here today.

Lots of fiddly stuff to do from my master to do list. Yesterday didnt see much been done apart from a good declutter of the sky planner :D Had some lamb tikka flatbreads for dinner which were just gorgeous I made some spicy onions too and have a load left so will jar them up later.

Finally gave in and booked an asda delivery for this morning but there is very little in it bar fresh veg stuff, eggs and bread.
Haven't decided on scoff for tonight its far too early for me to think about food but i think it will be something fishy.

Ordered a chocolate birthday cake for my mum (its her birthday tomorrow) but if for whatever reason it doesn't arrive I will consider making one later. I wont be seeing her till Weds as my brother is being a super hero and sweeping in for his 3rd visit this year (please be upstanding :rotfl: )

Thats about it from me need to open the shutters and let the day begin

    Have a great day all

    Morning everyone,
Many happy returns of the day Holly enjoy that cake x

Bright and sunny here but bbrr very cold, have just clicked the heating on for an extra hour until the sun is really up. After my two early starts at the weekend I have had a lie-in this morning and am now sat in my pjs enjoying first cuppa of the day, bliss.
I need to get to the shops this morning as the cupboards are getting low and the freezer only has three meals left in it, unheard of for me! Will also pop into TKMaximus to get another big, 3 wick candle for the hearth, just makes the room much cosier in the evenings.
Other than that not many other plans, we have pork chops for supper, have a hankering for rosemary roasties as well.
Thoughts are with all those with worries or struggling to sleep, also I hope the doctor can help with your leg Cranky.

Have a good day folks x

Happy birthday Holly. Ooh Cranky that sounds awful, I hope the dr can help. Do you ave to go and see what else can be done about the leg wound?

If any of you are interested the episode of The Gadget Show that DD was in aired recently. It's still on catch-up and the Channel 5 website, it's the item on cocktail gadgets at the end of the show, she is judging the end results.

I have to take Ziggypup to be trimmed this morning and will do the food shop while I'm there - mostly F & V.

Not a lot else on the horizon, I'm still waiting for more info from the Pru on the policy they say dad had with them so I don't know if it's for £5 or £5000. I'm assuming it's closer to the former but I assume they wouldn't have bothered searching for me if it's peanuts. All I know is that he took it out in 1974!

Must go to take Ziggy for a quick trot before her appointment.

Thanks for the thread nmlc, happy birthday to Holly, hugs to anyone in need.

Sunny here this morning but chilly, I've topped the stove up to keep us warm.

The brisket I cooked on the stove was delicious yesterday, no idea what I'm doing for tea tonight, I'll decide later.

Hubby isn't working today as he has to work on Saturday, no doubt he'll want to go somewhere when he eventually gets up.

    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

Email received late last night, we are due a royal visit tomorrow. SIL is travelling down to Cambridge, seems to have decided that its time for another visit. So I have to nip into town for supplies. Its shopping week anyway.

Bed clothes in the washer, hope to get them dry outside.

    Chicken and salad for supper.

    Morning all,

Happy Birthday Holly-hope you have a lovely day.
Cranky hope the doc can sort out your allergies,we are a family that suffers with allergies too, think its a toss up between DS2 and DGD whose worst :(.

Lovely day but frosty.Very short walk for Ly1a as she has hurt her leg so just across the road into the wood. She likes it there anyway, she goes mad for hazel leaves and there are lots of them on the ground. There is a tree near the park and she won't walk past until I pick her 1 or 2 so to have them o the floor must be like a sweetie shop.I've never heard of dogs liking hazel leaves before-daft dog.

Off to the big craft shop to start on DGC presents and may meet my cousin if she's at sewing club there.

Not sure about tea but think I'll get some mince out and decide later.
Hope you all have good days x

    Morning all

Happy birthday Holly I hope you have a lovely day. _party_

A quiet day for me I hope though I've already had a message from my daughter saying she is going to see about this new job in the week. I felt I had to say something so I just told her not to take on too much as extra childcare is expensive. I'm always here for my Grandchildren as she knows but as much as I love them. They are her children and not mine and she needs to learn how to stop spending.

    Today I must

    [STRIKE]Vacuum throughout[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clean bathroom (might sugar soap the walls)[/STRIKE] cant do over the bath will have to get one of the men to do it.
    [STRIKE]Tea - Cottage pie[/STRIKE]

    Onwards and forwards

    Have a great day all

Just popped back to wish Holly a happy birthday, hope it's full of good things!

My morning has been productive already, well only in a moderate way. I've changed DM's doctors appointment for her, arranged the heating engineer to visit her and put on a washing load. My plan to go into the office has been shelved so I've lit the woodburner. It took a wee while to get going and almost went out at one point but I've saved it. No idea why it nearly failed.

Today is 50 years since my beloved Omi (Granny) died. I have so many happy memories of her although I was only aged 13 at the time. She hadn't long been allowed out of East Germany and had a couple of years with her family again, I remember a visit we took to Dublin when we went to the Dublin Horse Show where we sat behind / in front / beside Eamon Andrews.

Our fallen leaves are mush. No lovely kicking them around any more.
