Today’s been a struggle. I’ve been so tired and achey, it’s hot and humid and DS and I have both had no energy or motivation to do much. We went out to a ‘tiger’ shop today - I love the place :p and spent £14 on bits and pieces we didn’t really need but would provide us with a bit of fun, as well as a gift or two.
I then subbed DS’s pocket money by £10 so he could buy something he wanted. I know, I know, but I’m soft and he is so good.

I ended up spending another £15 in that shop and then spent another £30 online when I got home, which i’m really annoyed at myself about as it was money I shouldn’t have spent but did so because I was tired, fed up and feeling miserable.

I cooked a YS chicken for our tea with some potatoes and veg that needed using up. DS ate a good meal which I was really pleased about as he has a condition which affects his eating, I on the other hand didn’t actually have any as I wasn’t hungry. There’s loads of chicken left for tomorrow, so i’ll turn into another meal or four. ;)

Tomorrow I need to collect some items from Tesco which I ordered in their sale. some clothes for myself (a rare splurge on clothing for me, most of it was around £2-£5 hence the purchase!) and a birthday present and a Christmas present. We also need to find something for DS’s Dad for Father’s Day.
Other than the chores above, i’m Determined to make tomorrow more fun for DS. We didn’t have a great day today, we didn’t do much and he spent way too much time watching tv or playing the Xbox (despite,e trying to persuade him otherwise), so tomorrow will be a minimal screen day. Hopefully a minimal spend day as well... :o

I think I have a wish fairy... after my last post, I received notification that the £168 cashback from life insurance was payable so I’ve requested a BACS payment. :j I could have received more if I’d opted for a voucher, but the money is more useful to me and i’d probably only spend any voucher on non-essentials. :o

Now I should be able to get the mortgage down into the £75K’s. :j I’m going to pay the £168from one of the savings accounts and then transfer it back once the CB hits the bank in a few days.

My goodness, this week seems so long already.

I'm exhausted after a terrible night's sleep, thanks to some neighbours going off on holiday at 4am this morning and spending half an hour loudly banging taxi doors, loading suitcases, laughing and leaving engines running. This then set two of the neighbour's dogs barking for another half hour. Tired doesn't cover it. :(

The £168 has been received from topcashback so I've transferred that straight back to the car maintenance account.

I need to return some clothing to tesco that I ordered in their 50% off sale which wasn't suitable, so that will be just over £30 back into the account as well.

Had a small spend of under £5 lst night on some items for DS's school fete we had to donate. Pretty sure I'll end up spending more than that on buying stuff back at the fair! :rotfl:

Child benefit and tax credits are due in next week. The tax credits will be sent straight to the car pot and as much of the child maintenance as I can afford will be sent to the gifts pot to build those back up again.
