Zippy it depends on what you're planning on doing with it. However if you are just planning on pouring it over cooked pasta then you can just heat the contents of the jar gently in a saucepan. You want it to heat through but not boil, so bring it to a gentle simmer for around 5 minutes.

You could also heat it in the microwave if you'd prefer.

I'm doing meat balls as per instructions. Gently fry in pan. Pasta in another pan. Can I just pour sauce over meatballs once they are cooked and heat through tia
Edit. I'll microwave sauce. Thank you

Just to confuse things, I tend to pour the sauce over the meatballs for the last few minutes, just to heat it up gently.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

I would agree with Enterprise for this. Once the meatballs are cooked through then you can add the sauce to heat. This is mostly because I try to use as few pans/bowls etc to save on washing up ;).
  • Thanks to everyone on here for the Sainsbobs double up comments. It's amazingly the first time I've done swipe and win and double up. I've turned £1.36 a few weeks ago into £60:T. So just kitted my self out with new boots and jumpers (I shall leave the tags on till next week just in case they are ill fitting) lol.
I even wombled a 1000 swipe and win last week on Blackpool front.:)
Speaking of which I was there today and they were filming corrie on the central pier. I was chatting to a lady who was watching but doesn't watch corrie, all of a sudden I shrieked in a high pitched voice 'oh look there's Mary'. Embarrasing....silly moo....it's not real you know. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ps Roy Cropper was there as well in his little car so watch out for that in a few weeks. :)

tweets, I am so sorry to hear your news. Please take care of yourself and I know exactly what you are going through.

My head is spinning with all the things that have to be done.

I am taking my mum away this weekend, we need a break, and to get away from the door knocking and phone ringing.

A nice long walk on the beach will be welcomed.

    Hope everyone is ok.

Hugs Sarah awful isn't it even though we expecting it.

    Enjoy your weekend away,

Brilliant, isn't it?! I can't remember the last time I bought thread full price but I only alter and mend things, I don't sew from scratch.

My friend also looks for things in sales which can be dyed. Sometimes you get something fantastic but utterly the wrong colour.
I have a huge glass M&S cookie jar, from a charity shop, obviously full of bobbins of thread, many of them real wooden bobbins!

I also only mend and alter, sewing from scratch is often not worth the money or effort.

    I'm now on dye alert!!
