    confused.com working on QC now

    Got my 25th PDE :rotfl:

How lucky is that eh ;)
  • I can't decide what to do for Sainsbury's double up - the only thing I really want is Amazon gift cards but don't think I can do that? :(

My store didn’t have Amazon gift cards but I did get some Next ones along with other shopping in the double up. ;) :T

You wouldn't be able to get giftcards as they aren't included in the promo unfortunately.

In other news, if you return an ill fitting £50 item to S on a transaction that generated N3ctar points, you may even have bought it with £50 N points during double up ... they refund you the £50 (but it takes the 50 points back).

I don’t know whether gift cards are in the double up or not but I have got both branded gift cards and alcohol gifts in the double up with other double up shopping.

I can confirm the Wonton Costalot codes have £1.55 on each.
Bought a coffee and toastie using 3 codes, then paid remainder with gift card.

  • Just had a bag of those Walkers Brussels Sprout Crisps - not my favourite flavour but not too bad. However they do look as though they have been made from green potatoes lol.

Thanks for the tip re the dye. I do alter and sew things I pick up, but that hadn't entered my head.

I often pick up threads and buttons in Charity shops too - I like nothing better than the contents of and old sewing basket!

Brilliant, isn't it?! I can't remember the last time I bought thread full price but I only alter and mend things, I don't sew from scratch.

My friend also looks for things in sales which can be dyed. Sometimes you get something fantastic but utterly the wrong colour.

How? An Amex card? I need to get one of them this year!

We are both expecting 1,000 from virgin, 1000 from LNER, 1500 for swiping in sainsburys 10 times (as long as i don't forget to keep swiping). So that's 7,000

I'm doing the 14,000 life insurance deal again. It's been more than a year since i last held a policy:cool:

I'm tempted to sign the wife up to amex but i was hoping for a 30k deal rather than the 20k deal that's on just now

I wish i had taken the life insurance out sooner though, the £800 i've spent this week would have earned double points

I will have to investigate the insurance :).

For Amex Gold if you are able to refer they get 24k (22k bonus for £2k spend in three months) and you get 9k for referring :). I referred Mrs Anon and will shortly be cancelling for a six month holiday before she then refers me ;).

24k is £240 during double up.

  • Thanks, another 2 PDEs for me!

I went into Bargain Buys earlier and found two different types of Polish mustard with an SEL of 10p. They scanned at the till at 5p each so I went back for another couple! They also had quite a range of Blue Dragon stir fry sauces for 29p each.

I got my PV cupcake too :-).
