  • OK, this is ridiculous. It seems they actually have to tell people that you can buy individual items cheaper than a gift set, and then they went and spent £1 on a gift bag

I was one of 5 people at Thorntons at 10am this morning. The SA scrutinized all our phones to make sure we weren't using screengrabs.

She then got REAAALLY annoyed at us all for daring to ask for personalisations. :o

The cheek of it, right? Asking for a personalised item to be personalised!

Have to admit, our Thornton's are really nice, normally end up with a taste tester too :D

Went to get some tubs of roses from sains but then was then told not allowed in the double up :(
Got some egyptian sheets and toys :j
  • We are constantly being monitored for fraud, there's a few people crop up on here with less than good ideas. Does no-one recall the concern over the first page on this thread just over a year ago?

We just have to behave ourselves, as much as we can :)

Must admit it's not what I expected - first I thought it's Eltons life story until the last few frames then I got the message.

Actually used to check him and his entourage in quite regularly when I worked at Heathrow years ago. Always very pleasant to me. His Mum was such a lovely lady. She used to chat to us girls in the First Class lounge when she was flying out to join him. Used to tell us all about her Reginald and his little ways! She was just so clearly very proud of him.

This probably made it a little more poignant for me and hence the tear to my eye.

It brought a tear to my eye as well.

But I may be having one of those days, as I was listening to Ed Sheeran live on the radio tonight singing a song I have heard loads of times but never actually heard the words - about a lady he met when he was 18 and volunteering with homeless at xmas who was addicted to drugs and funding her addiction by prostituting herself. So sad.

It is normal to get really worried as it is unknown at the moment. I am sure when you get to see the specialist he will help put your mind at ease (and ensure you have appropriate treatment) xxxx

Thanks for the pignoletto recommendation, we have just shared a bottle while watching ginos Italian cookery programme, who dipped fresh fruit in chocolate!
The wine was lovely, ginos not bad either.
Its been about a year since I have had it, I just remembered trying it next year just before the double up, and I liked it, im not too fussed on the TTD prossecco they sell.

I now think I have enough fizz/champers to last a rather long time.
