Similar here - I have 2 zipped sections in the purse - one has pounds for trolleys and parking when we go to the library and silver coins for 60p and 70p parking.
Other coins are separated out and these go into the Morrison's self scan machines.
If I get an excess of pound coins and £2 coins they go to the bank
But mostly I use cards for everything or gift vouchers so cash is used rarely
:T:T:T:T
I tend to pick OH's change up - and just try to use pounds/cards as little as possible 'cus I am tight.
Sounds like you had a lovely weekend. How is your errant son doing?100 -
Amex - I expect everyone knows this already but regarding the Shop small promotion - do we know that you have to opt in to this - its on your offer lists.
Just me then - I assumed that as I had emails reminding me that I was already opted in that was it but you need to opt in
The offers list has updated again.
I've got 5% off Sainsburys spend between £20 and £30 - not Tu, Argos and Petrol - I am wondering if gift cards are acceptable ...
And drat I forgot to use the Amex to pay for the Amazon pantry order using the amex card (used gift voucher instead) so I've got to do another order ...
I had a doh moment - and thought small shops started yesterday.... £20 of sausages are now in the freezer.
Do you have an idiots guid to the amazon pantry thingamabob :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:100 -
I am an idiot - I bought from 3bay earlier and in bidding on the app I forgot to go through TCB
.

Halo Top - Birthday Cake 10p @ Tesco instore NI
Don't know what to think with all these new low calorie/high protein ice creams.
I like Breyers salted caramel, their cookie dough one is nice too. However their choc mint is awful - tastes like a weird antibiotic syrup.
B&Js moophoria is a bit nicer but then it has more calories compared to breyers and halo top. Still doesn't beat full fat haagen dazs/B&J etc.
Whatever the case for 10p it's got to be worth a shot (or 20 dependent on freezer space).Neighbour might not be too happy though as her freezer is stuffed with turkey joints. Oh the irony :rotfl:

Evening all!
It's been such a wet, dreary weekend here. Earlier this year we spent 6 months with no living room as it was all stripped back to the cob, one old redundant chimney breast removed, and another fireplace opened up with a wood burner put in. So we were just living in our hallway for 6 months and couldn't invite anyone over as there was nowhere to sit. So it's all finished now and last night we had a living room warming party with 14 friends. My husband and I spent all afternoon cooking dinner; 3 different curries, a dahl, rice, home made chapatis and then apple and blackberry crumble for pudding. We all had a lovely evening :-). 7 people stayed over (luckily our friends don't mind sleeping on the floor - we do actually have a very small house), and we made waffles for breakfast with fruit and yoghurt. Once everyone had left my husband and I went for a long walk in the rain. It was nice to get some fresh air and at least it wasn't cold.
On the plus side having people over makes us tidy the house beforehand, so we do have a lovely tidy house right now.
But no time at all for looking for loo roll. I'll have a look tomorrow and maybe for the ice cream too :-).
Leftover curry for dinner tonight!0 -
