    Re: jars of loose change

Surely the best option is to pay at SS tills for your next lot of tuna/bog roll with the change? Just chuck it all in and let the machine do the work.

Can't remember the last time I handled cash - I'm a card type of gal (maximising cashback).

Also, you get Section 75 protection when you buy £100+ worth of bog roll and tuna. You never know...:rotfl:

Fully aware you don't get Section 75 protection on 36p bog roll and £1 tuna....

I now have this image of you returning used loo roll saying that it was your opinion as a doctor that it did not clean adequately :rotfl::rotfl:

I don't care that it does not count, my mind just comes up with the weirdest of images sometimes

  • Did a waities shop yesterday - got 3 x Comfort Ultra 90 wash £7 each but on offer 3 for £10 plus 3 Keta Salmon also 3 for £10 plus coffee and paper cost me £12 using £8 off £40. Till spat out another voucher for the same.

Went around again but this time included Partridge and Pheasant fillets also in the 3 for £10 again total came in at just over £12.

Can't afford to shop in the cheaper supermarkets at the mo lol.

You beat me to it.... I do the opposite to a jar - I make sure that if I have change I go through SS to use it up - it is the only time I go through SS (unless there is benefit of doing so).

If anyone is still to do the TCB £3 bonus, they've put eBay cash back up to 5% today and boohoo shop on eBay has a 24% off flash sale with lots of stuff with free P&P

I am an idiot - I bought from 3bay earlier and in bidding on the app I forgot to go through TCB :o .

    Afternoon all

We have had a lovely weekend and have been to see Eldest child and her OH in St A for the weekend - some nice meals and we went to see the fireworks in the park on Saturday night.

They have just had the new kitchen installed so they are still in the midst of clearing up and the aftermath. We stayed at premier inn on Friday and with them on Saturday. And we got to meet their new kittens - beyond cute and totally exhausting!

An awful lot of money spent - not facing the online banking yet - the cattery cost nearly £90
I think I need to make it another line on the budgeting list - weekends away with the offsping

I've missed the Christmas loo paper and the TCB/Q bonus - not sure whose it was and various other odds and ends

Similar here - I have 2 zipped sections in the purse - one has pounds for trolleys and parking when we go to the library and silver coins for 60p and 70p parking.
Other coins are separated out and these go into the Morrison's self scan machines.

If I get an excess of pound coins and £2 coins they go to the bank

But mostly I use cards for everything or gift vouchers so cash is used rarely

Amex - I expect everyone knows this already but regarding the Shop small promotion - do we know that you have to opt in to this - its on your offer lists.
Just me then - I assumed that as I had emails reminding me that I was already opted in that was it but you need to opt in

The offers list has updated again.
I've got 5% off Sainsburys spend between £20 and £30 - not Tu, Argos and Petrol - I am wondering if gift cards are acceptable ...

And drat I forgot to use the Amex to pay for the Amazon pantry order using the amex card (used gift voucher instead) so I've got to do another order ...
