I sell quite a few bits on Ebay. I just leave it in an account for a rainy day. OH does not know about that account. It is a contingency fund for the new house. It will buy the curtains, lights, etc. when we eventually move in.

SSM - how is your house coming on?

I have only ever shopped in Waities once a couple of weeks ago when I was away (apart from at stations when you pop in for a sarnie).

  • So dh went loo roll shopping yesterday. Complete failure, no loo rolls to be found but he did get the sweeteners for cos, where's the receipt? He searched everywhere but couldn't find it:mad:
Anyway this morning we decided to head out viaTs, I went to cs and said dh has bought the wrong thing but doesn't have the receipt. Shall I just give you the money she said, oh ok if you insist :rotfl: the tablets were £3 each of 2 for £3 so obviously I only returned one pack.
The next Ts we visited there was one pack of robin loo rolls and I remembered to buy the sweeteners again

That looks like a lovely door.

For people cashing out nectar points, from another thread. Red Dead Redemption 2 for £50 from Sainsburys and sell it to CeX for £40 cash.

I am presuming there will still be better out there.
I have used cex for cashing out in the past at 40 -38 but a while ago they introduced a new policy of not accepting more than 2 of the same item at once without checking centrally and potentially offering a lower price.

I did toilet rolls and then the Robbins came up - 'luckily' when I did try at t they had neither sort.

One of my QC didn't track, I assume I am better off not collecting as the cb is pennies and putting in an enquiry isn't going to get me the bonus :(

Judging by the posts above sounds like we could have a St A meet up.
    I think....
  • Most banks here also have the 5 bags of coins a day rule as well. They also insist that you pay bags of coins into your account & then withdraw the money rather than exchange (even if you prove you have an account with them).

I work in a bank, and have never heard of the 5 bags a day rule, i often take 10-20 per customer, especially with Christmas coming up.

And we have pay them in over a certain amount for reason of money laundering purposes, so there is a paper trail.
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

Slowly - the garage has been plastered - and is being painted at the moment (two weeks of painting - and still not done - I am sure OH does not work when he is there! - I have asked him to ensure it is done for this Friday).

We have kept living in our house for the last 4 years to be near mum as I saw her every night as she has dementia, but she is going into a residential home when she is discharged from hospital (this is the best thing that can happen for her) - so we will be free to live where we want to so we will be moving into the garage in spring. x

I feel rather liberated as I have had caring responsibilities for the last 30 years....:D:D:D:D.
