I can't provide any free offers unfortunately but was anyone already thinking about getting some Bottlegreen Sparkling drink? If the answer is no, skip to the next item:rotfl:.

I'm reluctant to post any items I see anywhere at all as I feel I am only acting as an advertiser for the places I am posting and will have people buying things that they were never thining of buying or didn't need before they saw them mentioned. Fwiw, I was in Heron Foods yesterday and saw some Bottlegreen Sparkling Pomegranate & Elderflower Presse 750ml with price of 75p.

I would say don't get caught by the Licquorice Allsorts & Comfits pack at 69p though. It seems Heron now have that, but it is 300g which works out at 500g for £1.15:eek:. Farmfoods have Licquorice Allsorts but my store now has 450g:( for £1 - don't now if the product is going towards downsizing - my Poundstretcher still has 500g bags for £1 and Poundland may have them too (according to online). In Farmfoods, I wasn't really happy about the prices on any of the few items I was buying - just a bit expensive for me! Milk 2L is currently 2 for £1.60, but works out at about only 10p cheaper per 6 pints:( and it probably costs me more than 10p to get to and from Farmfoods. 2L should be a shade over 3.5pints so two cartons is supposed to be 7 pints; however it seems to me two cartons still last just about as long as 6 pint cartons do elsewhere - when I get 2x2L, they don't seem to last any longer. Perhaps they do, but it may be something psychological where people tend to consume a full carton near the end of its contents regardless of how much is in it. I also got an apples pack but not ectastically happy about that either:rotfl: - although it is, for me, a different variety of apple:wall:.

This is what happens when you need essentials and just go somewhere to look - if you haven't checked absolutely every item in advance you're almost bound to be overpaying or pick something up and then you've immediately lost. There ought to be some system where we can just scan an item in any shop ansd for me immediately to come back saying "Do not buy this" unless it is the best price per unit available anywhere on the market. It would probably tell us to reject almost every item in every store, as there is just so little worth buying (IMO) anywhere and probably about a handful of good items in each store that actually are better value than elsewhere. Hopefully the few such items are mentioned on here.

I saw a customer in B&M (big brands big savings apparently) who told what I assume to be her daughter to pick a different pack of Maltesers as they were better price. However, I looked at them on the shelf and even they were 111g in total for £1:eek:. I obviously thought the best way of buying Maltesers would be the funsize 195g packs at 75p with the TCB offer:rotfl:. I had a chuckle at seeing some Barratt's 400g Booty Bags priced at £1.99 on my exit from the store (empty-handed:D - everything is just so so expensive I thought:rotfl:). I thought about offering my bag, bought at Wilko for £1 earlier, to them for £1.50 so that I could make a profit of 50p and they could still sell for 49p more. It seems a win-win situation to me - if I had any gumption, I should set up a retail business, buy everything in from elsewhere - I'd have a few items out at the front as loss-leaders to get people in, or one of them in the row mark it "Great value" but charge much more than elsewhere and then have everything else in the store at much more expensive - I'd just buy everything cheaper elsewhere and then sell it to customers for much much more.

Aldi also seemed too dear. I avoided buying any 500g Easy Peelers at 59p and it turns out I made the right decision there as I later found 600g at Lidl for 69p (which is slightly cheaper on weight). However, I thought there was some box at T somewhere but couldn't remember what its price was? There has been mention on here a few days ago, although it would take ages to try to find the right date and then find where the post was. I did buy some apples in Aldi though - and then found perhaps I should have bought other apples in Lidl as everyday there on 3 for 20% off offer (but would have me buy more bags) - I didn't pick the Eday Eseentials bag anyway as that had just five applies in it in my Aldi (but everyday at my Lidl some have 7 apples in and same price plus the offer that Aldi does not have - Lidl would be better for me for another reason, as Aldi for me is gala apples yet again:mad:. I don't want any more gala apples - gala apples, gala apples, gala apples all the time with the better prices on them:( - I want other apples to be put onto offer please - as my Home Bargains (1.2Kg for £1) that I am generally defaulting to these days unfortunately has had only Gala Apples in those packs and no others now on two separate visits:(). So, I didn't buy the Everyday apples in Aldi anyway as they were gala (and only five) but instead bought another pack, of 6 apples, for a penny more. Still seemed too expensive for me:rotfl: - bought through gritted teeth:mad::D - but they are a different variety to the ones elsewhere:wall:. That's my excuse for 'overpaying' now(:rotfl:) - I could have done a lot lot worse though - but, ourselves, with our price levels, even though we may pay a bit more than those sometimes hopefully we still aren't doing too badly.

T now has Perfectly Imperfect apples 800g at 79p but I didn't find any stock in my T anyway. My store wasn't the one to have any satsumas boxes anyway - so satsumas/oranges have been put off to check them properly first and make a decision about buying them on another day.

I have what I shall be calling "Kellogg's Rice Krispies" to anyone in my house though - Tesco Rice Snaps 600g at 50p reduced to clear. I ignored the 50p Skittles fun size that I was never going to buy anyway as it's just an unnecessary item again and didn't find any Hallowe'en stuff that seemed worthwhile. I found the Rice Snaps - don't know if they are a store-specific item as they had "Reduced to clear" signage up but no specific SEL for them, unlike the Skittles - instead the cereal boxes had 50p BC stickers on each box. It seemed like no-one had noticed them as the stock filled up all the section of the shelf. BB end June next year. I took five boxes - maybe should have taken more but five was just about the most I could carry home with me anyway - and so have used my £2.50 and a bit giftcard. Not a perfect shop of not even paying them a penny as I did literally pay them a penny. Actually, literally I did not - I paid them a two pence coin as I did not have a penny in my pocket, but they gave me a penny coin in return back.

It seems I have started a buying spree on the Rice cereal in my store:(. They seemed untouched until I took the five boxes from the shelf, thus leaving a large blank space. After I did that, however, I noticed another customer later come up and now take a box doubtless the psychology of seeing an emptier shelf and thinking there has been a run on this item - must be a good item to buy. Until then, it seemed to me - unless a member of staff had filled the shelf up just before I got there (and especially on a Saturday afternoon when things sell out) - most people don't notice full shelves of stock that don't stand out - after I had taken a few and left a large space however, now the rest draw attention to themselves. People are influenced by how things are presented and how they look:wall:.

However, I think 50p for 600g box of Rice Snaps looks 'alright' doesn't it? I am wary that they might go down further later. Probably will now I've bought some:mad::o:rotfl:.

There's nothing else worth buying btw:rotfl:.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html

Go down and select 'Need more help?', then select 'Contact Us' - from there select your order and the reason and then click on the chat option. You can email or ask for a phone call back but I find chat to be the best.

Good luck with your free chocolate - just contact Amazon via chat and they'll sort it. Make sure items are sold and despatched by Amazon (not 3rd party sellers) - much easier to get 'problems' sorted.

Ta for this - it explains why I cant find chat - if I am using the ipad.

Oddly this afternoon I had a cancellation notice and refund notification on the phone but on the app Ive got a dispatch notice for the pomegranate chocolate - so I dont know if Ive got it or not.
But 2 orders from last night still look good.
No reply yet from the cushion pad seller.
But I did get a 99p refund for a damaged box

No, I will get instore - did you get an order confirmation? Have you checked your account for what they have charged you? If so, contact them?

    Anon
Yes, checked order confirmation and it was correct. They took out the correct number of points. I went on their online chat & was 144th in a queue & it took nearly an hour before I got through. They said they would sort it out before the end of the promotion. I said I wanted it sorted before the start of it, that was why I ordered them in advance on line. I do not think it will get sorted in time so will exchange some more in store. I have quite a few from the Amex card anyway. I complained about the wait but ws not offered anything - had expected some points adding on for inconvenience, very poor service.

    Short version of my post

Bottlegreen Pomegranate & Elderflower Presse 750ml 75p Heron Foods (I think there's nothing else worth buying in Heron - already bought the broken biscuits once)

T Rice Snaps 600g 50p (nothing else worth buying in T in my view).

There's nothing else worth buying anywhere:rotfl:!

Even then - if you're not already buying the Bottlegreen, I wouldn't as it's not absolutely necessary, and I expect the rice snaps could go even cheaper later if no-one bought those, so shouldn't buy those either:rotfl:.

  • Thank you all for your kind comments :A

TS :A you are so very kind and I have sent you a PM.

I have been using a wheat-filled microwave bag and have an electric heat pad, but these only give a bit of comfort rather than any pain relief. I'm on morphine and taking OxyNorm, but they knock me out, and the hallucinations are getting scary. Earlier, a crazy man drove a fork-lift truck through my bedroom wall, and I had to hold onto my bed as he shoved it across the bedroom to the other wall

It's all very well telling us what has happened in your day, but I am more interested in the hallucinations :rotfl::rotfl:
