I also have a Gmail and a yahoo email but find they're a pain as don't come straight to your computer, have to log in on the website all the time.
Sometimes hassle is not worth the money saved!!!!
You don't have to use the website for Gmail - it is just as easy to add to your computer as the other email was (probably easier!).
