There was no stock last night (but then all the crisp shelves looked like they had been raided ).

Remember the voucher does say one per transaction so be prepared for any funny comments from staff.

Can’t find current S double up t&c. It’d be great if the £20 cap on an item was lifted.

MSE reported it - up to £200 in one category:

    https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2018/10/sainsbury-s-to-run-nectar--double-up--promo-next-month/

We will have to wait and see if you can get that more than once - in the past it relied on the CS stopping you (so going back in the same store later worked, or just going to another store ;), hopefully they haven't changed the till. Even if they did, quickly heading to another store where you have shopped previously should still work based on the challenges they have with the system (not updating instantly).

I think it unlikely you would be able to use more than one £200 voucher in a transaction though (even if you could get more than one), unless they have removed restrictions to allow one voucher to cover multiple items over various categories too. It may be just as easy to return ill fitting electricals from what people reported in the past, then use that towards the more expensive item (remember - if an item cost the same price as a voucher, some staff refunded onto S refund cards, while spending just over the value of the voucher resulted in refunds onto credit cards/cash depending on how the rest was paid).

  • Good morning shipmates :A

Another lovely sunny day to enjoy - I believe we had the highest temperatures in the Country for yesterday, down here in the South West :) It was so hot I had to put my shorts on at midday - and naughty Harriet nearly jumped in the pond again to cool off :o

    Some lovely posts :A

    I'm packing for Madrid

  • I've been the elephant in the room, I've had people cross the road thinking I hadn't seen them and they have later explained that they just didn't know what to say.
Nothing prepares you for those words you have cancer and your life is never the same there after. You spend life were each ache or pain sends you into sheer panic. And sorry nettiebobs this isn't a go at you but are you're daily gripes trivial? Only you know the answer to that one, but if they are you know what, don't let them be gripes. Make the most of every day and turn all you can into a positive.
When I was in gocats position and waiting for my op I was in work one day, one person had a headache, someone else had a stiff neck and i cant remember what the third persons gripe was but i just said to them all, do you know the only person who is not complainjng in this room is me. I think it made them think for that day but they still moan excessively over nothing.
With regards to your friend if she is a good friend be honest with her tell her you don't know what to say, there is nothing you can say to make her situation better.

Gocat I hope your op goes well on Tuesday, they wouldn't leave it this long if they thought it would spread, I'm sure.
JTS I'm gutted for you and i don't know what to say but I can't ignore you after rambling on, normal rules apply, you know where I am if you need to chat.

    Thank you Di :A

So true about the worry that each ache or pain could be returning/growing cancer.
Been having terrible back-ache lately :(

    Morning Bubbs and all :)

Glad it’s an improvement Bubbs. Got 3 packs of Fusion crisps yesterday. Thank you to whoever mentioned that.

    JTS and Di. So sorry.

I didn't realise that the coupons worked on anything else - mind you, my brain is still catching up after our slightly problematical flights back from Cyprus yesterday.

So far as talking to friends with major health issues/bereavements is concerned, I am with the 'ask them gently if they want to talk' group.
I don't think the 'cross the road/avoid at all costs' attitude helps anyone.

Only weekly? It seems to be whenever I want to use the app on iOS .

It has been going on for a few months - Android doesn't seem to have the issue.

I really only use the gweggy one lately so probably why only once per week. I do agree Android seems less likely to need re registering.
Going Cwispie shopping, a quick womble about for 10p off fuel vouchers.
Possibly doing a shop to get a voucher if I don't find any.
Am I right in thinking the £60 would be before coupons? SO, say, I get 4 packets of cwispies and 3 pack maginums, I will pay £3 for I Screams, but a total of £12 (£6 cwispsies, £6 Maginums) will be off the £60, so just another £48 to spend?

Checking the fuel prices nearby on petrolprices.com shows T is only 0.2p dearer than anyone else, so worth it with my almost empty tank.

I think it would be £60 including mocs as they’re just a method of payment.

  • Afternoon all. Just been on epic supermarket trip. Mr T number one got magazines and they had 1 of the actual bags of cwisps and magnums, then Aldi for actual food. Monster pumpkins prices at £2.49 went through at £1.99 and they are massive. Hen to sainsbugs for cereal for COS, then Asbo to pick up a c&c vodka and oxo then Mr T number 2 for more cwisps. They didn’t have any proper ones but got a fusion and went through self service with some lettuce too. There was a bit of fiddling but she did t say anything other than “oh is it for the cwisps” aaaaaaand relax
