    Good morning all

    Nice post Di

You may recall I asked you about visiting an acquaintance who was undergoing chemo. I tried to arrange visits but both my DH and her DH seemed to have it sorted that she was not to be visited so I never went. They are DH's friends and very insular. I only found that both hubbys agreed about visiting rights about a year later when I met her by chance

I think its the same for lots of serious illnesses but I now believe the only way to possibly help someone is to find out for yourself if they want to have a chat or be visited. I will not be offended if they refuse my company

Ds sort of chastised me for meeting up with someone recently bereaved and asked why I thought coffee was a good idea I explained my thoughts and its going to be a regular monthly meet up until she decides otherwise

Very profound for me especially of a Saturday morning

Some people like to talk about it and some don't. There's also things you want to talk about which you don't want to discuss with your nearest and dearest because you don't want to upset/worry them, its good to talk.

Thanks hornet girl :A life can be so much nicer with little effort, but an extra thought. Small gestures make a big difference to,people, a passing comment of Oh you look lovely, a card through the post to let someone know you are thinking of them. A bunch of flowers or a six pack of crisps for someone you know is struggling. The saying...its the thought that counts is a very true one.

Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

Can’t find current S double up t&c. It’d be great if the £20 cap on an item was lifted.
