:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: we're going to visit friends near Bubbs but I've booked a night in Stratford upon avon and then a night in Oxford so it was somewhere to spend the first night, whenever we do that journey I always say what a funny name shugborough is. I think we may just stop off there on the way.
Not too much info at all, I love a lot of detail :D thank you.

Yes you are right, it is Shugborough not Shrugborough. Me showing my lack of knowledge:o.

    Go Chester.

(EDIT: The only thing with Chester though is that it's then a good journey (over 2 hours) to Stratford. And that's now, at twenty to eight in the evening; if you are trying to travel on a Friday afternoon...)

Or maybe you could go to Salisbury - to see the 123m cathedral spire:rotfl::rotfl:.

    (It's got a 123m spire you know:doh:...!)
    Never considered salisbury

That means that the magazines in our store will be strangely unavailable.

    It was a joke:o.

Ironbridge might be alright. The museums will be open (may use Tesco voucher - may need repeat visits but allowed one visit, time unlimited, to any museum you miss - unless it's all changed since I did it:o), even if the bridge under repair will be interesting to see what it is like. There are places to eat in the town (basically right outside the bridge), or I hope they are open (I don't think I visited this late in the year) - most probably will be as look like any normal pubs to me.

Thank you - I'm off to T to try to pick up my freebie.:)

EDIT: :(Noticed they are 17/10 start: therefore requiring repeat visits (if I visit before). Hoping I will buy something else in addition on each one no doubt. Doubt whether leaving to 17/10-31/10 will see any mags left. Never mind - will have a look around (I am sure they are trying to get me into finding and buying something I wouldn't have done if I stayed here and didn't visit) and back to the store later for the crisps.

We want somewhere en route to s u a where we can spend the day, have a meal out and stay in a nice hotel, nothing against premier inns. DH doesn't like rides so Alton towers is out of the equation. Maybe Chester is an option.
    Thank you.

    Di
The premier inn is a brand new building on the same site as Trentham Estate. Very convenient with lots to do. Only about 2 miles off the M6.

    Evening peeps.

Thanks but I'm sure these were removed from my store as I bought a couple of bags from the reduction rack a couple of weeks ago.
    Hope not though!

All very clever - the coupon in the T mag., by reference to the current price of the crisps in T, looks to be worth more. If it was advertised as worth 90p however - the previous offer price of the crisps in T was 90p - then it wouldn't seem to be worth as much. Clearly buying at 90p was a worse offer than buying one with the coupon in the last part of this month.

I did buy some crisps at A (thanks zippy) and thought my only options in future would be if I saw some properly reduced pack of crisps on store-specific sticker or if the Snacktastic in Lidl went back to below £1 (for a much larger pack). I will (hopefully!) be able to get some free ones from T. One per transaction - therefore lots of individual transactions of just a multipack of crisps each then:rotfl:! If you want to play it that way and impose these terms... I'll jump through your hoops:mad:.

I managed to get more than baked crisps at A and, enough, I thought to take me up to their Christmas BB (and they will, in theory, last longer - in other words if they are not consumed). Even though, thanks to a 'lower' individual price in A, the final price was not as good there as before, I did go for them as I thought 'last chance' and had a perfect comp. in the days of comps.
