I got the date wrong as I was still finishing Monday of a couple of weeks ago. I returned to M on Wednesday, 26th September not the 24th, for the final time. I don't know why I am having little heart and delaying because I have odds and ends (and a little more than that), many of which would always have been 'buy in M'. I notice a lot of items are just duplicates of information I already had on Monday (which I have updated except for the DVDs situation) and I had noted them again on Wednesday in case I hadn't got them. Of the information that has not already got to the list, according to my SEL, M Porcelain Coupe Side Plate had gone to 60p RTC and M Black Shiny Ceramic Plate was now 50p RTC. The Eat Smart frozen Sausages 600g were 50p (I think I mentioned those at the time and/or some other frozen sausages that I might already have on my list from ages ago had returned to one of my Ms showing 50p RTC). I had got a few pasta sauces that had gone below £1 on RTC (probably remaining at 96p:eek: now or possibly now gone cheaper maybe now in fewer stores if sold out of the rest). I had some Charity Popcorn at £1 in case there was a glitch available that there never was. (I still have them now, uselessly with no glitch:rotfl:.) I mentioned Galtee Black Pudding and Galtee White Pudding. M's 30 pack Polish Wipes, which weren't compared when I tried to do so some months earlier anyway, were now at 80p. It looks like that's an offer or else a regular new price as I haven't noted "RTC". They could have gone back to £1 or could still be on 80p. I had a Pasta Measurer at 50p RTC as well as a White Marble Pinch Pot. There was some Gloss, Teak Oil and Superglue on more expensive RTCs than that, as well as the good items, such as the Compactor Wardrobes, that have sneaked into the list without anyone noticing them. I also had some stationery items on RTC, as well as some that were on RTC a year ago now being found showing full price:(. The full price ones I noticed have already long been pulled off the list, as I get rid of expired items first - the RTC ones are yet to be there. Really you want to know about the latter - but just best visitng your store when you're already to see what if anything you can find in the stationery area(s). The ones I had will be put onto the list later in my closing of this down.

Apart from what I have now mentioned, I am returning to the topic of the £3 DVDs. On the Wednesday - and I mentioned this soon afterwards - I found that many had returned to full price:(. However, there is (as of two days ago when I last looked) at least one still £3 on m.com and there is another one in my nearest M still showing £3 last week. These will be the final items I update: I have left them as a 'special project' at the end, as I try to work out which ones are full price and which are still £3. Particularly as I won't be seeing a full range of what are £3 now as I will only be seeing a couple of other nearby stores. I think it might be easier if I add all the ones I originally had at £3 onto the list and then remove all of them that I had at full price later. I know this is putting many of them on in order to remove them, which seems - or is - silly but I had them in the form of £3 on, or possibly on, and then the ones that I found to be off - therefore I can't remove all I had that I found to be full price as not all of them will be on the list and I have some at £3 earlier that I don't know will be off without removing them.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay only for one night anywhere between Lancashire and Stratford upon avon?
Does anyone know what Stafford is like? Is it worth a visit?

Stoke on Trent seems slap bang in the middle of that (at least if I am starting at mid-Lancashire, Preston) and I suppose you could find a hotel for the night but are you talking straight line? If not, somewhere like the Peak District Park or, at the other way, Shrewsbury could be ideal. Unfortunately the Staffordshire Roaches had a wildfire at the end of August - but maybe a bit farther east: perhaps Bakewell or somewhere like that, or maybe somewhere in North West Derbyshire or Tideswell, maybe there is a B&B somewhere in the Peak Park although summer is now over. I'm a city dweller, so I prefer to get out into the countryside, but, if you are in the country and want to stay in a city, you can find somewhere to stay there and I suppose they'll be things to do in Stoke.

EDIT: Alton Towers has a hotel but I was trying to do it a cheaper way, through B&B:rotfl:. In fact, looking at the prices - "Hotels near Stoke on Trent" - it looks like Alton Towers, perhaps unsurprisingly, is the most expensive one:eek:. It'd be much cheaper staying in Stoke and then driving out. Crown Hotel, Longton (Stoke not Longton Preston) £24 a night, no frills apparently, don't know what it's like but you're only staying for a night. 13 minutes from Trentham according to the map.

I think I'm taking this Froctober too seriously!! I'm currently making compost heap jelly, broth and turkey dinner, again!!

The compost heap jelly is really cheap - you just bung all your apple peelings and citrus rinds in the freezer and when you have a reasonable quality you boil them up, strain, cook again with sugar and there you go! It turns out like a shred-less marmalade, but is also very good with cheese or cold meats.

I hadn't planned this though, was plodding on [STRIKE]emptying[/STRIKE] making space in the freezer and after a bit of shopping today came home to find that Grumpy has emptied the freezer in the garage, that I haven't been able to reach for 6 months and filled up all my space:mad::mad:

Have to do the broth as well as to use up the chicken stock.

I hope you get it sorted. I've checked and mine is OK.

I've also got 250 bonus points on your next visit to a Sainsbury's Petrol Site in case that helps anyone.

    Thanks Picasso,

I’ve spoken to them today and they are going to send a new card with all the points reinstated plus a 2000 point bonus. :T so alls well.
The only down side is that I’ll have to link my new card to Amex, virgin etc.

My husband has just told me that he walked into the office kitchen today to find boxes of hot chocolate market 'out of date - bin'. He asked if he could have them and was told yes.

I'm not sure what we're going to do with 50kg of hot chocolate powder. :o

I think a few bags will have to go onto Olio!

Are they instant or to add milk. If instant, am sure Foodbank would love some as they often have areas for out of date things so their clients can choose if they want to have any of the things!
