It turned out that I have been left a total of £47.23 from receipts today. That amount - that was just lying around! Which is now included within a total of £122.63 on receipts I still have yet to use, including APGs back on my own shops. This is twice the amount I wanted, which was a realistic spend for me of around £60 for a month's worth of shopping during October. This was based on how much I had spent during a recent month until my wombles started to run out. So, it looks like they will last the month for me and I can stock up for Christmas, including frozen food and non-perishables, maybe a few higher value household items, clothes or other such things to spend twice as much. And there is still one more weekend left to add some more pounds to that total.

There was one person who was inconsistent. They had used an APG of £3.87. Off a £78 shop rather than a £3.87 one:rotfl:. However, even though they had obviously kept their previous receipt and checked the APG, they failed to keep the current one and left it for me to check. Didn't return anything though. They probably knew that already.

    Savvy...that's great for you:T:T

You can buy more socks now:D;)

Agree, however, don't really like the wilko ones on my sensitive little tush and they are sold out of the discount regina (soft on your v*) ones so in the end I got some (more) toothbrush heads from SD - I am a bit worried we have so many they may outlast the toothbrushes....Good night all.
    I think....

    Evening All,

I spent my last APGs yesterday on my normal shopping. Thinking it would probably be my last visit there for a long time, I wandered around thinking about all the glitches from the past.
I even went down the gluten free aisle to see if they still sold UDIs. Anyway I've just checked my receipt for old times sake not expecting anything but it has generated a £6 APG so looks like I will be going back after all.

You probably already know this but the interesting one for me was the 2 large packs of M&Ms (Sweet Sundays packet), it works out at £1.80 for a free cinema ticket.

:rotfl::rotfl:Finding it hard to do a normal shop. Well done on getting that amount!

We have got to get out of buying items that are cheaper elsewhere soon:rotfl:. The Large M&M's bag though is a glitch. It's one of those items that seems to come into M at certain periods - and then stays until it is sold - and is usually found on aisle ends where I believe the collectors don't collect. The large pouches are £1.50 in M. The collectors haven't got M&M's Peanut Pouch as that is returning N/A, probably because it is one of those items that is only in M during certain periods, although one of its periods is including the current time. I think it's because it's an aisle end item that the collectors don't pick it up. I don't even remember whether M has the Peanut pouch, though I think vaguely they probably do, as I have stopped bothering looking at the detailed individual packs each time as they don't get picked up - they were and are on my list at the outset and probably fail, except we now have this glitch on the Chocolate pouch!

A good argument could in fact be made for not picking up prices of items on aisle ends because often the items are - although not generally these ones - also on the regular aisle shelves in normal stock. When offers end or start, I have now seen that the regular aisle SEL is the more likely to be correct price. Staff will go to the usual aisle and change the price and not get to or not notice at that stage the other stock available on the aisle end, that should be moved if its offer has ended. There will therefore be times at which checking both the regular aisle and the aisle end will give conflicting prices in a single store and, whilst this could be resolved by taking the lowest price, it's usually going to be the regular aisle that it is the up-to-date price. However, some items, such as these large pouches, do not usually make it to general aisle stock. The collectors therefore, I think, miss them out. (Of course all of this will be irrelevant soon anyway, though I don't think the collectors will be out of a job - you can bet that A will still be obtaining prices from M and watching their competitor prices very carefully.)

What has probably happened here is that someone, probably a customer who could not realise how helpful they have now been to us, has picked up a large pouch but then changed their mind and put it into the regular aisle where the small pouches are. A collector has possibly seen the large pouch is there and has then picked up the small pouch price from the SEL alongside it.

That Heinz 4 pack multipack of soup - I bet someone in several places has that in their M at £2. This is also one of these items that comes into M and is usually put onto aisle ends or, at the start of its reappearance, appears at the front of stores - again, these may be very prominent places that customers will see, but I think the collectors don't take prices from them or there isn't a SEL ticket as such for them to take, instead there is a large price card that doesn't count.

I am wondering, with the SP Batter Mix having gone up in price very sharply, whether the regular standard range Batter Mix A against M might now work out cheaper. Just in case it should, I did take details of the standard range product price (M is believed no longer to have Savers Batter Mix for a long time now) and we'll find out later whether this now could work out better.

The glitch on the large pouch, barring any unforeseen eventuality that has never happened before on the APG, will be available all tomorrow as prices won't be updated on a collection day itself.

The kitchen rolls should also still be available against M. I saw the Decorated ones are still comparing £2 vs £1.24 - that should be any 2 for £2 and probably mix and match with non-decorated version should pick up the M mbuy again.

I have the 4 for £3 toiletries offer in M as due to expire today. That may or may not be rolled over I do not know. However, I suspect that the Lynx shower gels that are now on that offer won't work on the APG, as I have seen too many Ms that are not showing the offer on them, causing me to buy 4 in M earlier today, in yet another place that turned out not to be showing the offer, although it was due to end today. Probably me buying the offer that no-one else in that store is aware of and is therefore not buying. I don't think they will work in A, although if someone buys 4 of the right ones and finds out that they do, I shall obviously be a little displeased.

The APG is also picking up full price M on the large Pot Noodles - obviously not enough stores showing £1 on least one and probably the whole range that the collectors have - I found £1 on my aisle end but then I do notice those places. At least the 'standard' ones are comparing against 50p M these days. They are losing out, although not too greatly against S as I have had a receipt that still gave a good APG against there - would have been even better if they had not bought these items of course. Wish people woudn't buy them at 50p in A as they are again one of my disliked items as cutting the APG. They are again not helpful as losing out against T, although they are giving a rather hopeless 5p each against M, except the Chilli Beef flavour is N/A - not sure offhand whether or not M has that one as I have stopped bothering with these items. I got the details of which ones I found in M when M first went to 50p, but too few collection stores had changed to 50p and the APG got £1:(. I haven't bothered with them since, and because of the rather hopeless 5p contribution to APG and I destroy the details after my updating each week so if they don't get to the list I no longer have the information and of course SP Noodles would be cheaper.

I have to be efficient (maybe too efficient) in getting rid of the information to the recycling bin, as otherwise I would drown in a sea of paper and I tend to hoard too much.

You can buy more socks now:D;)

Funnily enough, I had thought "socks" when writing my post:rotfl:.

I have already bought one pack of £3 socks, with a helpful £3.00 womble. I will doubtless buy at least one more pack - though may leave this to after 3rd October when we can't reuse the money we spend for money back on more vouchers - so a non-grocery item like this: may be best left to October whilst we buy groceries with APGs and get money back in the meantime?

I would have bought at T at £2.50 (fewer socks but better price per sock) - however it seems they have discontinued the Eday item I used to buy:( - or at any rate I could no longer find it in my nearby T. I have switched back to A for its regular prices.

I am also hoping to buy one of the £7 travel hairdryers at some stage - but don't rush for them: four on the shelf at one of my As and three at the other (just checking that they do sell them).

    good un
says on m web page that that offer is on until the 10/10

Price comparison on top won't last like that as this is a glitch. May only be on current collection, so shop tomorrow (Tuesday is risky, may get in early doors). Certainly we won't be able to get a vs £1 each comparison after 3rd October:rotfl:. So, on current plans to withdraw the APG, assuming they are maintained, the price comparison, unlike the Sweet Sundays aspect, won't last until 10th October.

We have one of those tap the base 3x gets brighter each time tap again turns off lamps - anyone tried them with an led?

We have those, bought off Ebay, the instructions said they won't work with low energy bulbs.

I noticed that Habitat also sell them (but more sleek versions) and they looked to have modern bulbs but I couldn't guarantee. They are on display in the Habitat inside Sainsbobs at London Colney if you want to investigate. That habitat currently has 25% off everything.
