Hi everyone. Long time lurker here. I am so gutted the Price Guarantee is ending. I saved a fair bit of money using it for my home delivery shop. Although I have noticed Asda is getting closer to Lidl prices on things. I have not posted here before, but your tips have been great.

D'you know what I'm going to miss? It's my own reactions after putting receipts into the checker. I've just had one, where I've now started laughing/chuckling at my own reaction. I've stopped now I've come to write this post. Receipt, looked good - only two mbuys - meat 3 for £10 that isn't going to matter and some 3 for £10 coffee pods that might lose but not against everywhere. Some of the items looked good against M, so I thought - might give £10 or more, you never know.

You sometimes get runs of nothing for about four or five receipts and then finally get one that offers a voucher and you are then going "YES!!:j" - your reaction to that one, or at least mine, is much better than where you are getting vouchers or little vouchers each time.

This one - thought it might offer something good and then...

My reaction to this wasn't a frown, instead it was me saying, with only a very slightly frustrated tone but more close to normal tone than anything: "for god's sake!"

A couple of 'good' items against M, but then the receipt needed to have a lot more than this:
1x ASDA Dishwasher Rinse Aid Citrus (400ml) £1.20 £1.00
1x Wikinger Bockwurst Style Hot Dogs in Brine (550g) £1.25 £1.00

Then I saw the Pot Noodles that I thought would not lose against M:

2x Pot Noodle Chicken & Mushroom (90g) £1.00 £2.00:(

Then I realised the reason I'd entered this receipt first was because it is dated 24th August (making sure I get the earliest ones checked first, so that I don't miss any that might be due to reach their 28 days within the next day). So, they bought too early and wouldn't have had a chance of picking up M's current price on the Pot Noodles at all.

For goodness sake:rotfl::rotfl:! Ridiculous receipt, so promising and then... nothing, such a waste!
