Oh no such a shame - spoiling her holiday. DD and DS no problem on choppy boats or with plane turbulence but both get carsick when travelling as passengers. It was strange as the car sickness didn't appear until they both reached their late teens.
Fingers crossed to can recoup her costs.0 -

It's funny, I'm the opposite. Went on a channel crossing once, rough as hell, I was the only one eating breakfast so managed quite a big one :rotfl::rotfl:
Been 10 miles out in the English Channel on a 20ft mackeral fisher, thoroughly enjoyed it
I just love being on the sea, would love to get a sea captain's licence but don't see that happening in the near future.
I'm happy on rough water as well so she can't blame me :rotfl:0 -

But to be fair, what you have just said does not fill me with too much confidence going forward.
I dont think you can, but it was probably a visual effect.
Similar here. When we first started I think it would have cost about £2500 to get the 100 shares - no idea what it would be now. In those days though we were getting good onboard credit and it combined with future cruise onboard credit as well plus there were a couple paid for with Mr T deals or at least half paid for. In hindsight we should have just gone for it but at the time it seemed to be a lot of money.
As you say I have doubts about the future of P&O - 7 day fjord cruises are very nice especially in summer but the season is very short - end of May to early September at the very best so I don't know what happens after that.
7 day cruises are good for people of working age as its easier to get 7 days off than 2 weeks or longer - perhaps that's one of the incentives, the lowering of the average age, to start a lower age demography. But Norway is very expensive for families and there are no guarantee of certain sunshine which families want from a summer holiday.
I think this new ship needs this special fuel and the refineries for this are still being built so Bergen must be one of them
Anyway the prices are out this week - it will be interesting to see what happens“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
This is Iona before anyone asks - I don't even think its built yet

Lovely warm afternoon here, and we have been plagued by bluebottles in the kitchen, about 20 so far. No idea where they are coming from, nothing seems to smell in the kitchen.
They were all flying round in circles, reminded me of when I was a kid in the Essex countryside. We had flypapers .......ugh!!essex girl in exile0 -

Do you know if they are phase 1 or phase 2 meters?
Phase 2 are the ones whereby you can change company later on“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
